After heading to Boston and knocking off an undefeated team for the second time in as many weeks, we head back to OKC to take on former AL rivals, the Tampa Bay Turtles. The Turtles are looking to get back to .500, so we'll be looking to keep the hot bats going. However, last week we saw a gem on the mound from Jacob deGrom, who went 11 innings, striking out 10 to notch 2 wins and a quality start while only allowing 1 earned run. #WeAreOK

With a second straight trip to the AltLiga playoffs, the Falcons are soaring high. We play our fourth playoff game this week and our fourth ever home playoff game, as Amsterdam KVV makes their way to Cairo. We swept them in the regular season, but we'll be looking to make sure not to stumble this one away. As we're at home, we'll be in the traditional vertical striped main kit, and are featuring midseason transfer Alexis Mac Allister, who helped carry the team while stars Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Jackson were injured. They're back now, and we're hoping that means a more potent attack in the playoffs. #TheGoldStandard

That was a successful three game homestand, as we knock off the Thunderbirds to remove them from the ranks of the undefeated teams. Our reward? A road trip to Boston to take on the undefeated Masons. We look to knock off undefeated teams in back to back weeks as we look to make sure we stay tied with the Deacons for the top spot in the American League early in the season. We'll be in the standard road khaki uniforms this week. Our pitching has been very banged up so far, but that hasn't stopped Hunter Brown from being an absolute ace, as he logged 13 innings, allowing only 1 earned run while striking out 18, good for 2 wins and 2 quality starts. #WeAreOK

Oh, and since I didn't say this, here's what you MUST submit for your submission to be valid:
- The email MUST be sent to AltLB.DC@gmail.com
- The logo should be submitted in a SVG format (if possible, we're trying to avoid future problems with file formats)
- The wordmark should be submitted in a SVG formatĀ (if possible, we're trying to avoid future problems with file formats)
- Any description you have for the design elements. This will be forwarded to the owner of the team.
For those of you who haven't yet submitted your briefs, those will be due by Friday, May 2nd so I can release those when Wave 1's are due. This process is allowing more time for the design process, but will always have something going.

Scratch, I will touch base with Gritty on that, since any and all files associated with prior Refre5hs would be with him.
Now, let's get into our first group. We will be splitting the active teams into two groups of six so we have more time for each group's designs. Today we'll be releasing the first six Refre5h submissions. The due date on these submissions will go to AltLB.DC@gmail.com by 5/3/2025. The logos will have a longer design window.

The Bison knocked off the Squirrels to remain undefeated last week, powered by our bats with the injuries sustained by our pitching staff. This week we host Arizona at Cox Ballpark, as the Thunderbirds bring their undefeated season to OKC for a big matchup as we close out our early season three game homestand. The Thunderbirds led the league in scoring last week, but only one point separates us on the season. We'll be in the cream home uniforms for this one as we highlight first baseman Josh Naylor, who had 6 runs, 6 singles, 3 home runs, 5 RBI and 3 walks last week to pace the Bison. #WeAreOK

Hello Everyone, we've just completed season four of the AltBA with our fourth different champion, and I'm excited to announce that it is time for the AltBA Refre5h! I'll be your point of contact on this one and working with Gritty as needed to make sure that it runs smoothly.
We're going to be doing this differently than we did for AltFL and AltHL so that we can spread the process out, allowing more time for designs, separate logo and jersey submission windows, and allow us to Refre5h our unowned teams as well. I want everyone to a) get quality submissions, and b) get quantity submissions.
So if you currently own an AltBA team, you'll get an email from me at the email you used for the AltBA from my altlb.dc@gmail.com email to start the process over the weekend. From there, we'll break it down, working on no more than 6 teams at a time. So in the meantime, start brainstorming, what do you want in the future for the design of your AltBA franchise. We can only have one champion a season, but we can all have championship-caliber looks.

Following the win over CF Federal last week, we sit at 4th on the table. A win in either of the last two matchups will guarantee a home matchup in the first round of the playoffs, and there's an outside shot at the top spot in the table. To get there, we'll need to win out and get some help, so we'll focus on our side of things. This week, we head to South America and Brazil, as Sao Paolo and Club de Ragatas do Independencia host Eye of the Sun FC. Ragatas is still looking to lock up their own playoff spot, and a win this week will clinch it, so we'll be facing a driven team. We'll be in the clash kits for this one, and our featured player is goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who faced a plethora of shots last week, turning away seven while only allowing one against Federal. #TheGoldStandard
