The 2005 Season
The drama, oh the drama! The 2005 season was filled with interesting storylines. Following the lockout the leagues got back to work. In the CHL, the Terriers returned to the top of the standings with an impressive season. The young Chevaliers jumped back into the playoffs after a down year. We welcome the Vancouver Glaciers to the mix as their young star Eric Lindros takes the league by storm. The Halifax Kingfishers also returned back to the postseason after a brief absence. The defending champion Wranglers fell from grace in a hard way with a second-to-last place finish.
In the AHA, the Rovers and Racers came down to a tiebreaker at the end of the season for the East Division title. New York continues to be a playoff mainstay while the Founders once again yo-yo down - out of the playoffs after another great season. The West Division story was that of average play. The Seawolves return to the playoffs to carry the torch for the west. While incrementally, the Bighorns have started to dig themselves out of the cellar of the West Division.
