Were some of the drafts pushed back a few years in this timeline? IRL this was the 1995 draft I think.

Nope - Lindros was selected by the Nordiques first overall in the 91 draft. The drama that I described happened during that season as Lindros held out like he said he would. The court battle happened towards the end of that year. By 1995 the Flyers and the Nordiques were trending up. 95 Lindros actually won the league MVP.

The 2002 Season

The Toronto Terriers rebuild jumped forward in 2002 as they jumped to the top of the standings. The Founders also jump into the playoff picture for the first time. There was also a ten day players strike in April. In similar news...the Chevaliers are in dead last once again except this time we have improved to 20 wins! Progress.

This is the third straight postseason matchup between these two teams. The winner of this series ended up as champions

The Canadian Shield III Playoffs - First Round

#2 Halifax Kingfishers versus #3 Minnesota Loons

For the third straight season the Battle of the Birds takes center stage in the playoffs. This series features the past two champions. In this rivalry's rubber match, it was the Fishers that took the day. A second straight loss to the Fishers caused a change in net for the Loons...next year the Martin Brodeur era begins.
