Re: AltHL Legacy

There’s a sudden drop in performance, and then there’s just falling off a cliff.

Seattle did the latter.

It’s not karma, it’s a designed simulation using historic data from two different leagues. Ergo, it’s a systemic way to guarantee no team has a dynasty.

You picked the Racers before we knew what team's history we'd get, therefore you getting the history that would allow you to choke every other year is karma. Karma comes in many ways

I’d like to point to the fact that I had just as much of a chance to get that history as everyone else. Therefore, any other person could have been put in this position.

Yeah, but I'll trade your facts and logic for a fun storyline. Long live the Curse of the Bigs!

Re: AltHL Legacy

As a Sens fan, I feel you Miles, even if I have had a few laughs over your reactions.

Anyhow, let's go Terriers! Win those big ones!

Re: AltHL Legacy

It's the day of the finals!

Canadian Shield X Finals
The offensive juggernaut Terriers versus the upstart Calgary Wranglers.  The Wranglers made quick work of the T-Dogs in a sweep.  Mats Sundin proudly raises the shield for the second time in franchise history.

2009 Adams Cup Playoffs
In a bicoastal clash for AHA supremacy.  New York is looking for their second title since 2000.  And LA is looking to add to their collection with a second title since 2004.  Unfortunately for the Gargoyle fans of the Gotham City the Titans put on a big hurt with a quick sweep.

If you look at this year's playoffs - there were a lot of quick series.

Tomorrow we look back the AltHL's first decade.  We will reveal the All Decade Teams and debate which league has the better team.  I will also roll out the team rankings of each league.

Re: AltHL Legacy

You know that it's a good Wranglers team when they can win away games. Good match, Toronto.

Re: AltHL Legacy

With their second Adams Cup victory, Los Angeles Titans owner Stickman celebrated eagerly.... by severely over drinking himself into a stupor, (though some suspect he also went overboard due to the dismissal of a lawsuit involving canned tuna, aluminum foil, and a belligerent hobo).  After yelling several incoherent words, he wobbled about the owner's booth, nearly falling many times, (this became known as the "Stumbling Stickman" incident that was the source of many video views on the internet.... and much embarrassment for him).

In all seriousness, while it was a sweep, it looks like the Gargoyles put up a heck of a fight, as all 4 games were close, including two overtimes!  Good series New York!  Also, congrats to the Wranglers!

Do we even want to know the details of that lawsuit...... Um.... Yeah... Kinda... Kinda scary there, Stickman....

When you said he was a goofball, you weren't kidding were you?
