Important Update! (Sorry for the double post)
We have decided to extend the deadline for the AltFL North Uniforms until Saturday! I think since the original deadline was in the middle of a work week it made it more difficult for people to submit entries. This will give more people the opportunity to throw their hat into ring. In the meantime, I will slowly reveal the four other teams of the south. Tomorrow will be the Miami Hammerheads!

My submissions for both teams sounded good in concept, but my Paint skills can't hold much of a candle to most others here...so TheHealthiestScratch got two VERY well-deserved wins here.

Both teams look great, I especially like Dallas (I'm a sucker for UCLA stripes)

I like them both as well. I especially like how they work together. I feel like the both capture 'Texas' in different ways quite well.

Dallas Bandits: Holy crap, the final product looks INCREDIBLE! I was a little skeptical at first about the use of cream instead of white, but man, am I glad to be wrong about that! An outstanding 1st completed team!
San Antonio Phantoms: A very good jersey as well, definitely could see both Texas teams getting snatched up early in the Owner Draft! I'm really glad red wasn't neglected here, as it pops out nicely on this uniform and gives it a vibrant appearance. Only thing I don't like is the helmet "stripe". Don't get me wrong, I like the use of the red and white jagged design and I know why it's here. I kinda hate that one side is red and one is white, (all 3 entries did this too! lmao!). I use the word balance a bit when critiquing jerseys, and this unbalances the jersey slightly. Not in a deal-breaker way by any means, more like a slightly annoying trait like the Steelers only having their logo on 1 side of their helmet, (actually, now that type that, the Steelers' helmet logo situation is way more obnoxious). This is a minor critique though, the rest of the jersey is excellent!
Awesome job Stratch on both of these uniform sets! Also, to everyone who submitted designs, great work all around!

As an actual Texan (now displaced in the PNW) and a Dallas-Fort Worth native (I can spot at least five places I've lived on that slice of map Gritty used as the background) I approve these designs. The Bandits identity in particular has been slow to warm up for me, but it's really growing on me now. Props to Scratch for producing an awesome set to make this one pop. Anyone who knows me knows I love cream and off-white, but I was skeptical about this one. However, seeing it all put together, it really works. The whole set is just Texas-western themed enough without being over the top. (Seriously, to do my own QCS rant, Dallas is one of the least "western" cities I've ever been to...) I think it really touches on all the right themes. The only thing I don't like is the white on the socks, gloves, cleats and chinstrap/helmet stuff.
San Antonio. I know a lot of people in SA, and I'm pretty positive they'd eat this up. Such a killer logo and the uniform set has so many awesome details. That black jersey in particular meshes well with the general aesthetic in SA. Honestly I would probably buy one. Most of South Texas are Cowboys' fans, but Dallas definitely won't be stealing any fans from San Antonio now. Great work!
Both sets are definitely great representations of Texas, a place where some of their high school stadiums are college-sized and borderline NFL ready.
Really nice job on the presentation Gritty. These displays really sell the realness and complexity of all the work everyone has put into this project already.

Boy howdy, these designs look nice. Great job scratch!
The best part about the AltLeagues for me is the amalgamated talent in every aspect from names to logos to uniforms to presentation. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped with this project, as everything looks fantastic.

Those designs look great! Huge shoutout to scratch for this!

If all the uniforms come out as good as Dallas and San Antonio, no one will truly lose when the Owner's Draft happens.

Our tour bus logically avoids stopping in Birmingham, Nashville and Orlando and pulls into Miami, Florida! I hope you like BRIGHT! The Miami Hammerheads are as vibrant as their culture. Designed by DireBear, winning with 58% of the vote. I hope everyone enjoys! Tomorrow we will visit their Florida state rivals...the Orlando Galactics.
