*Programming note - for a few seasons the CHL and AHA went to a 5 game first round format.
The Canadian Shield VII Playoffs
#1 Toronto Terriers versus #4 Halifax Kingfishers
I feel like these two are always tussling in the playoffs. The Terriers are a juggernaut and are on a historic run of success. Despite their prowess they still find themselves behind the 'Fishers in Shields in their trophy case. I feel like I am writing this same Terriers roster year after year. They have done a great job of keeping this core together. The scary thing is that we are only starting to approach their big years. The Russian Five has been assembled.
With that said, the feisty Fishers triumph and advance to the finals...could this be their third title?

#2 Montreal Chevaliers versus #3 Vancouver Glaciers
The Chevs started in the deep deep basement of the CHL. Those draft picks and some trades have vaulted them to the top of the league. This year, they have revenge on the mind against the defending champions from the west. The Glaciers are an intimidating presence in the league. This time however, the Chevs finally get past the first round and are four wins away from their first shield.

On the post, it has a Programming note at the top, stating that for a few years they went to a best of 5 series.

At least I've still got the Chevs going to the finals. To quote Nasher: "LET'S GOOO!"

Go Chevs! Go Racers!

TUCKER! Let's go! YEAH MAN! That's one scary match-up, though. Brasher and Tucker vs Messier and McSorley….yeah, no thanks....

I'm sticking by my "don't bank on the Racers", so I'm going with the Founders. And the Chevaliers get the edge over the Kingfishers in my book.

The Canadian Shield VII Finals
Joe Sakic the Chevs captain raises the shield after a great 5-game series win over the Kingfishers. The Chevs win their first title - which helps the fans breathe a big sigh of relief. They desperately want to keep paste with their rivals in Toronto.
The 2006 Adams Cup Finals
The Founders win their 2nd championship. That second title brings them in a tie with Halifax and Boston for most championships.

And the Racers lose again...
