QUICK IMPORTANT UPDATE!
I have to update our franchise list. I just realized that the graphic that I posted has one incorrect city. Phoenix should be in instead of Houston. The list had changed a lot in the final hours and it must have slid past me. It shouldn't impact anything yet except for your alignment submissions that you have sent in. If you have submitted an alignment option please send how would you want me to switch that up. Once again my apologies.
For those of you who are interested here were the rankings and the city scores. These scores are out of a maximum of 260 possible points.
#1 Chicago (78)
#2 Milwaukee (74)
#3 New York (71)
#4 St. Louis (63)
#5 Birmingham (56)
#6 Portland (50)
#7 Salt Lake City (48)
#8 Toronto (47)
#9 Los Angeles (44)
#10 Phoenix (43)
#11 Seattle (42)
#12 Nashville (39)
#13 San Diego (37)
#14 Dallas (36)
#15 Louisville (35)
#16 Boston (34)
#17 San Antonio (33)
#18 Kansas City (32)
#19 Philadelphia (31)
#20 Buffalo (29)
#21 Minneapolis (29)
#22 Miami (28)
#23 Charlotte (28)
#24 Orlando (28)
----------------------------
#25 Hartford (27)
#26 Baltimore (25)
#27 Virginia Beach (24)
#28 Houston (23)
Yeah, I had tallied up the points on my own (but my totals were a little off, probably just a slightly different points system) and I was confused when Houston, who had placed behind Hartford, Baltimore, and VB on my list as well had made the cut.

Haha, self-awareness of what you did doesn't make it any better.
Must I remind you that we have an agreement?

Is anyone else thinking about submitting names for Group A? If no one else has submissions I will send out the polls a little early! Check back this evening!

Awesome, I can't wait to get this process rolling!

I think we're ready to vote!

Alright everyone, here we go!
I will keep the process going at a good pace. One the submissions start to 'settle down' I'll move. Starting now we are going to be doing multiple things at once. We will start the voting process for Group A, and nominations for Group B. Once we announce the winning names for Group A you can start designing logos (although they won't be due for a while). This way you will be able to design more logos with more time.
For those of you who are new..each city has its own poll. So make sure you work through all of them. When you vote on a city, please rate ALL of the teams. It messes up the math a little bit when certain names have more votes than others. We did a good job with names this round. I didn't have to remove any illegal teams.
The Polls for Group A!
TEAM BIRMINGHAM
TEAM BOSTON
TEAM BUFFALO
TEAM CHARLOTTE
TEAM CHICAGO
TEAM DALLAS
On to Group B!
The same process goes for Group B. Just one note...you are allowed to nominate a name that has already been suggested. For example, you can nominate the name 'Miners' for Minneapolis even though it was nominated for Birmingham. If Miners were to win for Birmingham I would simply remove it from the Minneapolis poll. Just don't let it discourage you if you really like a name for a city.
What a great group this is going to be. We have cities with some great content for team names. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

I'm going to jump right in because last time I waited and lost out on three of my names!
Kansas City Tornadoes - Tornadoes is such a cool name for a team and I am shocked as to how underutilized it is in sports. It's powerful, destructive and is perfect for a team in the heart of the heartland and the epicenter of tornado alley.
Los Angeles Sabercats - I flirted with the idea of just going for it with the name Saber Tooth Tigers but that seemed like a mouthful. If you like the Tigers then let's do it! This is a nod to the La Brea Tar Pits where a ton of Sabercat fossils were discovered. Fierce, powerful and would make for a pretty cool helmet.
Louisville Crowns - this has two meanings. First, the city is named after KING Louis because he helped the US in the Revolutionary War. Second and more obviously the Kentucky Derby and it being the first jewell of the Triple Crown.
Miami Crocodiles - I've always liked this name for a football team, 'The Crocs'. Everyone knows the Florida Alligator but bigger and more powerful is the American Crocodile that resides in the salt waters of the southern coast of Florida.
Milwaukee Coopers - I know we have a lot of Packers/Badgers fans in the group so this will be a tough one to decide. But as a Badger fan myself I always thought that Milwaukee is the perfect city to name after an industry or tradecraft. Coopers make barrels. I like the sound of the name and it as a way to reference the brewing industry without being too obvious about it.
Minneapolis 10,000s - this ones a little out there but I love the sound of it. At first it sounded like a mouthful but if you say it out loud, it really works. Ten Thousands has three syllables while the 49ers and 76ers both have 4 and 5 each. I see this team with a really sharp blue and green color scheme. 10,000s of course referring to the state nickname, The Land of 10000 Lakes.
Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Missouri Mules - Going with something different for Kansas City, using the state animal as the name of the team
Los Angeles Mambas - Kobe, plus its different than the usual Stars and such
Louisville Roses - Honoring the Kentucky Derby and the garland of roses the winning horse wears after
Miami Manatees - Keeping with the theme of Florida teams using local wildlife, Manatees are awesome
Milwaukee Barbarians - Playing on the cities rich German history
Minnesota Moose - There was a minor league hockey team with this name for a couple years in the 90s, but I think this name just sounds perfect and Moose are located in the northern part of the state

Minnesota Giants - I think that Giants would be a great name for a team from Minnesota. The team could be Lumberjack based like Paul Bunyan, or something completely different
@Section30
Just a heads up..I love the name Minnesota Giants but the New York Giants. Louisville Racers but Charlotte Racers.

Hollywood Moguls - Could be a good opportunity for an Art Deco theme?
Kansas City Outlaws
Louisville Legends
Miami Tritons - Undersea theme
Milwaukee Renegades - Maybe a Harley-Davidson theme?
Minnesota Shockers - Wheat theme
Offline
Kansas City Pit Bosses - I just want a BBQ themed team, thank you
Los Angeles Heroes - The Abundances of Superheroes and Action Stars in movies
Louisville Distillers - Kentucky Bourbon
Miami Leatherbacks - Turtle theme that could translate into an old school look
Milwaukee Zeppelins - There are teams called Jets, Rockets...why not a Germanic Blimp?
Minnesota Jötunn - Norse word for Giants
