Our final post expansion team comes from the East Metro Hockey League. Lake Elmo is a town with about 4,000 and they will play their home games in nearby North St. Paul, playing in 1,200 seat Polar Arena.
They will be called the "Bluejays" opting to use the single word version rather than the two word Blue Jays. Their logo is a blue jay head and their colors are navy and lake blue.
Let me know what you think, comments are appreciated!7.0.1

I really like the Skis and Eagles! They're all good, but I don't think any of them are good enough to unseat Golden Valley as my favorite team.

Full thoughts coming up in a bit...but one question:
You said one of the expansion teams was going to have a mascot, but didn't say which one today...which one is it?
Just wondering...again, FANTASTIC job on all the new teams (more detailed thoughts coming in a later post)...you know where to e-mail the images.

I realized that after posting all the teams, here is the mascot of the Crystal Colts.

Getting big Chicago Bears vibes from the Colts. I'm a big fan of all the new teams! My favorite look is going to be Rochester, that logo is maybe the best you've designed, fits in so well for the era.

Good as always. I'm just not seeing the Bluejay in the logo.

Joining Lake City in the Valley is Wabasha. Wabasha (Wah-buh-shaw) is a city right next to Lake City on the shores of the Mississippi so a rivalry is bound to form between the two. Sitting with less than 2,500 people, Wabasha will have their work cut out for them. The Eagles will play their home games outdoors on Malone Park Rink.
The team will be called the "Eagles", named after the insane number of Bald Eagles that live in Wabasha during the winter as they eat fish from the open waters on the Mississippi River there. Down the line Wabasha will be home the the National Eagle Center, a place I highly recommend checking out sometime if you want to see some Eagles. Their logo is a stylized Eagle with its head and wings forming a W for Wabasha. Their colors are brown, blue and white. Brown and white to represent the colors of an eagle, and blue to represent the Mississippi River.
Did the Caps not realized that this team raided their design department closet?

Wabash is just a bunch of Grumpy Old Men anyway, don't think they react to well to anything Washington has to say

I can now feel the Silver Bay beaver judging my every move. The new FF logo looks clean and the wordmark is on point. The new teams have some nice logos, but wow! That Crystal monogram is sharp. The Wabash colors and logo just give them a cool vibe. (And from personal experience, yes, the National Eagle Center is quite amazing.)
