Re: History of the National Football Association - 1974-75 Season

For Seattle I would go with either the Lumberjacks or Sea Lions. I think that brown and red would work great for the Jacks, but blue and silver would look good too.

For San Fran I personally like Vultures best, but they all work. I could definitely see the Whales in blue and silver as well.

To be fair, international orange might not be the orange you think it is. It is definitely getting close to red. I think as a supporting color it be perfect. Being from the Bay Area, I agree that it would be very appropriate and welcomed by all. Who wouldn’t embrace the color of the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the most recognized landmarks in the nation.

I think the California Grizzlies or Vultures would be cool, but I do like the Blue/silver colour scheme with Whales for either team, I even like that for Sea Lions in Seattle.

If you go Grizzlies or Vultures, Red/Brown/Green would be cool.

Lumberjacks is different so I think it would be cool, I feel red would have to be apart of that... maybe a red/cream colour scheme?

Well I guess it's as good as a team as any, Tigers will be switching to a red and orange color scheme when they move. Originally they were never going to go to St. Louis but I decided against it last minute, feeling as an LA team that early isn't realistic, and St. Louis had disappointed in the expansion draft around that time. Red and orange was always gonna be the plan for the Tigers, so I'm not sure I want San Francisco or Seattle getting orange in their color scheme at the very least.

How does everyone feel about the Miners name for San Francisco, I know it's close to the real life counter part, but it and Whales both feel like the traditional names I feel like fits a San Francisco expansion team in the 60's

Between the Miners and Whales I would go with the Whales. Miners is good, but I think that the similarity to the 49ers is too close and there are a lot of cool ways you could go with Whales.

For Seattle, I'd go with Thunderbirds.  For San Fran, Grizzlies

Here's a sneak peak at one of the identity's. Which versions the best?
The S in with overlapping axes (A)
The S in front of the axes (B)
Or the axes by themselves (C)
