“Be the Bark” — haha! 😂 Terriers is definitely one of the more unusual names so far but should provide plenty of logo options. I’m liking all the name choices thus far.

haha it was not easy trying to make a Terrier sound tough. My brother played at Boston University and assured me that Terriers can be tough.

Glad the Founders was the winning name. I like most of these so far, excited to see how Groups C and D turn out!

Round 3: Group C - Name Voting
It is time to vote on the cities of Group C. We have a lot of great names in this set and I am really interested to which way we go. Who will join the Rovers, Chevaliers, Wranglers, Titans, Founders, Terriers, Dragons, and Loons? The voting for group C will close on Tuesday night. We will then start Group D during the second half of the week.

AltHL Owner Application
The instruction for the owner application are in the link. We have had a group of pretty consistent contributors and we want all of you to be owners. The application is to just get organized. If you feel like you don't have a ton of hockey experience do not worry about it. The goal is to have fun with this. The IceHL had original owners that had never played fantasy hockey before. If you are interested please quickly fill it. Even if we have talked about you being an owner in the past please still fill it out.

I love the idea of a fan base being called "Loonatics", awesome choice for Minnesota! Terriers winning is hilarious too. I can imagine the fan base calling themselves the Terr(i)ors, a mix of the word terror and terrier for a horror dog theme. Terr(i)orists would be a less PC nickname that could work in less tense times, lol.
Great choices all around!

It is time to welcome the teams from Group C!
The Group C races were not as close as those from a week ago. Group D will begin voting today and will finish up on Friday.
The Chicago Ghosts won with 70 points. The Ghosts were followed by Cleavers at 62 and Tigers and Zephyrs at 57. The Chicago voting had the lowest over all totals of any city thus far.
Without a doubt the Kingfishers ruled the day in Halifax. They won with 83 points. They were followed by the Atlantic Puffins with 73 points. Unicorns and Harpoons followed at 68 points. Kingfishers were submitted by Steelman!
The Seawolves were a strong choice by the AltHL community. The alliteration fits with the Seahawks, Sounders and the former SuperSonics. The Wolves can be taken as the wolf packs that inhabit the coast of the pacific northwest or the submarines that patrol the seas. They won with 79 points. Followed by Bombers and Totems at 68. The Seawolves were submitted by Section30.
Finally, we have the Bighorns! As a Colorado citizen this is a strong name. We have the CSU Rams and it is our state animal so it definitely fits. The Horns won with 78 points. They were followed by Black Bears (67) and Dinosaurs (66). The Horns were submitted by FC Macbeth.

Just a heads up that both the Portland Loggers and Vancouver Orcas are part of my BHI series on here.
That being said, if either of those names win I have no issue with them being used at all. Just a heads up since I know there are rules you're trying to follow.

All the Quebec names are so, so good. I'm also happy that Kingfishers came out on top for Halifax!
