Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

We would end up pummeling Federal to extend our points streak to 5 games, and also sit near the top of the table for the first time in nearly a year. After a well-needed international break, we return to action away from home against the reigning champions Amsterdam KVV. They have not had the start that they have wanted, and they need to turn it around if they want to defend their championship. Featured for us this week is M Bruno G., who scored once on two shots, added an assist, and won three tackles in a clean sheet win.

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

It was a tight one against Stripes, but ultimately, Atlético came out the other side with three points as we head back to Barcelona. Meeting us there will be Intercontinental Istanbul, who are only three spots ahead of us in the table, so this one could certainly go either direction. The Old Club are coming off a close loss of their own last week, so they'll be hungry for revenge. The first star in our last game went to F Georginio Rutter, who delivered 2 shots on goal and 2 key passes - one of which was an assist. #KeepClimbing

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

The reining champions in Amsterdam couldn't get anything going against us, and we netted our fifth win in a row. Thanks to every other team that was tied with us last week losing their matches, we somehow sit just 3 points behind the top spot in the table. We finally return home to face the Stripes of Bukchon Hanok, who are sitting firmly midtable after a surprise finals appearance in their first year in the top flight. Featured for us this week is F Jean-Phillipe Mateta, who was essentially our entire offense against Amsterdam, scoring a hat-trick on 5 shots and an accurate cross.

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

It wasn't the greatest week for Atlético, but we were able to shut down Istanbul's offense to pick up another win. We now sit just three points back of the massive tie going on in the middle of the pack, meaning we're firmly back in the picture. We keep things moving against one of those 15-point clubs, as we visit Japan to take on FC Tokyo Sakura. The Blossoms just got crushed by the top team in the league, Sydney Harbour, and will be looking for a bounce-back game. Unfortunately for them, they'll have to contend with G Đorđe Petrović, who just had his best game of the season so far, saving all four shots he faced to keep KIK off the board. #KeepClimbing

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

Our 5 match points streak came to an end with a poor outing at home against Bukchon Hanok Stripes. We still remain in the top portion of the table, but are now tied with African rival Eye of the Sun for 6 points behind the top spot. We turn to the road to head north to Istanbul to take on Inter Istanbul, who sit in the mess known as the middle of the table but could leap up from 8th with a win. Polish D Matty Cash had one of his best games of the season last matchweek, scoring a goal on his only shot of the match along with an interception, two tackles, and four clearances on defense.

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

After an exciting match against Sakura, Atlético came up just short of earning a point. The good news is there's still a lot of season to go to catch up. That starts with our upcoming match against IFK Stockholm, who hold the second-highest total points in the league, so this might be a challenge. Hopefully D Dan Ballard will continue to be up to the task. The Northern Irish international has been one of our best offensive defensemen so far, and though he didn't get on the scoresheet against Tokyo, he was busy on the defensive end, with 7 clearances and 7 aerials. #KeepClimbing

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

We let up a goal too late against Istanbul, and now drop into the thick of the middle of the pack. We'll have a chance to get back up on our feet at home against Sakura, who beat Atlético in their last match to move back up into the same place we are now. Our offense has been a mess the past few weeks, but Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi stepped up to be the setup man, netting a shot, four crosses and drew four corner kicks against Istanbul.

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

After a brief break for international play, Atlético return to AltLiga having lost two in a row. As we look to break that streak, we find ourselves in Cairo to face Eye of the Sun FC. While we're still looking to break into the postseason picture, the Falcons are trying to separate themselves from the pack of 5 other teams with whom they're level in points. While we did get a goal from D Dan Ballard against Stockholm, he was featured on our graphic last week, so instead we'll highlight M John McGinn. McGinn had our only other shot on goal, along with three key passes, an interception, and a blocked shot. #KeepClimbing

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

After an embarrassing loss to Eye of the Sun, Atlético return home looking to regroup. We'll only have to face the best team in the league, Sydney Harbour FC, in our final game before GEO Cup play. We've switched up the roster quite a bit, but one of the mainstays recently has been M Yasin Ayari. While this past game wasn't his best, he did still make an impact with a key pass and a couple of tackles won. #KeepClimbing

Re: AltLiga Season 2025-26

I forgot to upload last matchweek's graphic so here that is:

A huge win over Tokyo keeps us real close with the other clubs at the top of the table, but we'll have to face of those teams to stay near the top. IFK Stockholm has turned their club around after taking over from St. Mungo, and if they continue to play as well as they have been they could be in contention for the league title. Guarding the net for us this week is GK Gianluigi Donnarumma, who recorded two saves and a clean sheet against Tokyo.

A close loss against Stockholm keeps us right in the middle of things, but still 6 points behind the top of the table. If we want to climb back to the top, we'll have to go through our bitter rivals in Eye of the Sun in the final game before we break for the GEO Cup. Featured for us this week is M Bruno G., who assisted once on one shot and had one chance created in our match against Stockholm
