Missed Week 13:
For week 13, the Galactics dawned their orange alternates as they welcomed the West-leading Raptors to town. Unfortunately, the game did not go our way.
As for the final game of the season, we renew our rivalry with the Copperheads. Hoping to end the season with a win as Jordan Addison will lead the way after a great performance a couple of weeks ago. We suit up in the classic purple set with orange pants. #startthecountdown #ORLvsTEN2024 #preparefortakeoff

Well, we couldn’t get it done in Philly, but now it’s time to wrap up the season in style—because it’s SoCal Showdown time! Rivalry week is here, and we’re back home to face the Los Angeles Sabercats in a battle of, well... let’s say, “rebuilding” teams. It’s 3-10 San Diego against 2-11 LA, and we’d love nothing more than to hand them that 12th loss. Because if we’re bad, they’re worse. (Gotta keep the rivalry spirit alive, right?) We’ll be rocking the same combo as last week—navy helmets and alternates—but swapping out the grey pants for navy ones this time. Our featured player this week is WR Mack Hollins, a midseason free-agent pickup who snagged a touchdown last week with seven receiving yards on the day. #KingsintheWest #BeatLA #SoCalShowdown2024

Following the regular season completing, we now know our playoff field!
The top seeded Tennessee Copperheads remain one of two teams who have never missed the playoffs in the modern era. They will host their division rivals and defending champions, the Dallas Bandits. The Copperheads knocked off the Bandits earlier in the season.
Your second seed is the East Division winning Buffalo Bolts, who have a home date against the Seattle Steelheads. They met earlier this season with the Bolts picking up the win.
Winning the Central and claiming the three see is the Chicago Cyclones. The East division has been a weakness for the Cyclones, with all of their losses coming to teams from the East, including their opponents this week, the sixth seeded New York Emperors. The Emperors are the second team that has never missed the playoffs in the modern era.
The final matchup will take place in Salt Lake City, as the West Champions, the Utah Raptors, look to make some noise in the playoffs. They'll be facing the fifth seeded Boston Nightriders. The Raptors knocked off the Nightriders during the regular season.
Now, for the other twelve teams, it's the Rookie Draft Order. None of this factors in any traded picks.
1. Los Angeles Sabercats
2. Minnesota Voyageurs
3. Arizona Scorpions
4. San Antonio Phantoms
5. Carolina Reapers
6. San Diego Destroyers
7. Kansas City Scarecrows
8. St. Louis Explorers
9. Kentucky Stallions
10. Portland Grizzlies
11. Philadelphia Brawlers
12. Orlando Galactics

And now, awards. So this year, I've gone ahead and tallied all the numbers for players in only games they started. Those are the numbers I used for the All-Division teams and Rookie of the Year. For example, Terry McLaurin scored more points on the season than CeeDee Lamb. However, Terry didn't start all his games, so didn't score as many while in a starting lineup than CeeDee, so CeeDee was the 3rd best WR in the East Divsion. This also affected at least one player for the all league teams (which players on that list have a nice little gold star on the graphic below.
Now, your Rookies of the Year. As we did last year, the top scoring rookie, regardless of position, based on games that were started, gets Rookie of the Year. The top scoring non-QB rookie gets OROY, the top scoring rookie defensive player gets DROY, and top rookie kicker gets STROY.

It came down to the final game of the season, but the Steelheads are back in the playoffs! It feels good to be back, but the job's not finished yet. We're in a familiar spot, as three years ago, we came in as the #7 seed and had to travel across the country to play the #2. This year, though, instead of sunny Orlando, we get the lake-effect snow of Buffalo as we take on the Bolts. They've already proven they can beat us this year, so we'll be looking to even the score and move onto the second round for the third time in four years. Leading the charge is QB Jordan Love, who threw for over 2700 yards and 21 TDs in the 11 games he was healthy. #TipTheScales

We missed out on the playoffs the past two years on points, but this time we easily won our way in. After a rocky beginning of the year, we went on a 7 game winning streak to end the regular season and locked up the 3 seed with a final win at Minnesota. Our opponent for this hard effort? Oh, you know, one of the best teams in the modern era in the New York Emperors. They easily defeated us in week 3 when we were still figuring out our identity, but now we're both different teams and we're hoping for a close one. Leading the way for the Cyclones is rookie QB Caleb Williams, who put up a solid first campaign with over 2700 yards and 16 passing TD's, and nearly 400 yards on the ground. We'll be wearing the typical home set of red helmets, red jerseys, and tan pants to kick off the postseason. #BlownAway #WAFC

Better late than never, right? The Emperors backed into the playoffs losing our last two and 3 of the last 4. We need to right that ship immediately, because we're going to Chicago to take on the red hot Cyclones. Would that make them fire tornadoes? Either way, we're in for a tough matchup. We're in the standard road set for this one, with the yellow helmet, white jersey and white pants. Our featured player is star quarterback and team captain, Jalen Hurts. #GothamKnights

With the win over the Cyclones in the first round, we move on to the next round. We're off to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Raptors, who eliminated our rivals from Boston last week. We did beat them earlier this season in New York, so we'll see if we can do it again in their stadium. We're not going to mix things up, we'll be in the yellow helmets, white jerseys, and white pants. We'll be featuring wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who's been one of the best receivers in the league over the second half of the season. #GothamKnights
