Re: A NEW ERA: The Ultimate Ball League

First of all, I think your league is actually pretty unique so far! Although I do have a few questions:

1. How many teams make the postseason?
2. Are games televised or streamed at all? If so, then what networks televise and stream games?

Anyway, I am looking forward to updates on this league of yours! Go Pigeons!

1. 8 teams make the playoffs, two division winners and two wildcards from each conference. There's three rounds: the knockout series, the conference finals, and the Ultimate Cup Final, each lasting 7 games max.
2. UBL games can be seen on ESPN, TBS, TNT and ABC, along with affiliated streaming networks.

Re: A NEW ERA: The Ultimate Ball League

DECEMBER 2024

IMAGE: Philadelphia right fielder Ryan Doherty and shortstop Josh Thompson round the bases after Doherty hit a 3rd inning home run off of Toronto's Adam Lund. This early score set the mood for the evening, as the typically hapless Ringers rallied behind two further dingers by Julio Llanos to score a Christmas Day road win, 7-5.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH
*The UBL held the first of its annual Christmas Day games, with the scores as follows:
Seattle 3, Los Angeles 4

Calgary 4, Bay Area 6
Las Vegas 11, British Columbia 2
Philadelphia 7, Toronto 5
New York 6, Atlanta 3
Miami 6, Chicago 7
Carolina 2, Houston 9

Dallas' Larry Skeen was declared the top player in the Christmas Day games, scoring 2 home runs, 4 RBIS and 2 runs against the Portland Beavers. As such, he was rewarded with the "Mug of Eggnog" trophy and a coupon entitling him to free Borden brand eggnog for the remainder of 2024. When interviewed, the shortstop expressed disappointment with the latter, saying he was allergic to dairy.
*Another Breakers player slammed 4 homers in one game - this time, it was LF Tony Puebla. Unfortunately, LA could not come away with the W this time, losing 8-7 to Portland on the road.

It is spread a bit thin, isn't it? Probably the hardest one to organize, I mainly did it based on population.

Hoping to add another team to either the east coast or great lakes soon to make it at least a little better.
