QB David Simmons got his 3rd start of the season and had one of his best performances, throwing 2 touchdowns and getting the win.
Buffalo had a rough go with several mistakes in the first half both offensively and defensively, but they still managed to make it close at the end but ended up running out of time.

Calgary would put on quite the battle at home against the Central-leading Thunder. 
QB Emmitt Jackson and offence was running all over the field, even taking a 23-29 lead in the 4th quarter.
The Thunder would manage to come back and win the game in the 4th, but they were certainly shocked by Calgary’s performance escaping with a narrow win.
The good news for the Thunder is that the win does clinch them a ticket back to the postseason as well as the team’s first-ever Division title due to Buffalo also losing earlier in the evening.

The Raiders had a lot of pressure on them to win with their playoff hopes starting to look dire, and they would pull off the massive win over the unbeaten Gold Stars. 
It didn’t come easy, however, with Providence’s defence helping to keep the game close until the Raiders finally were able to pull away in the 4th with 10 points Providence wasn’t able to answer back.
QB Jace Beleren drew in to start for the injured QB Red King, but struggled, relying heavily on the run game throughout, and having a couple of interceptions as well.

QB Nathaniel Braddock was perfect in the decisive win, earning himself a break in the 4th with QB Joel Joesen finishing the game for him.
Regina’s offence had another down week and their defence was just no match for Boston’s offence leading to an expected final score.

After back-to-back difficult losses, the Royals were able to get back in the win column with a win over the Rangers. 
WR Sterling Underhill seems to be fitting in well with his new club, scoring a pair of touchdowns in the first half.
The Royals were far ahead at 27-3 in the 3rd, but Edmonton would get a couple of bounces leading to a bit of a comeback in the 3rd and 4th, but ultimately were way too far back to make it interesting.

Saturday Night Football gave us a super important game between the Serpents and Blacksmiths.
It would be a tight game right to the end, with the Serpents getting the lead on a touchdown run from RB Tyler Kuhn. 
Pittsburgh’s 6-game win streak would come to an end in the close matchup, but they have still managed to turn around the rough start they had to the season.
The win does clinch a playoff spot for Minnesota and potentially a West Division with a Vancouver loss on Sunday.

Montreal entered their Sunday afternoon game knowing they were eliminated from playoff contention, but they remained determined to get another win.
Montreal was able to take a lead in the first half, but QB Nathan Houle would suffer a major injury taking him out for the rest of the season, leaving QB Gene Bishop to finish the game.
Halifax would then come back from being down 7-24 taking the lead in the 4th, only for Bishop to lead a vintage game-winning drive to give Montreal their second win in a row.

The Tigers’ skid continued in a tough loss to the Victors, leaving them in a tough spot with two games left.
QB Henry Johnsson had his worst performance of the season, throwing 3 interceptions, leading to QB Tyrion Gainsborough taking over in the 2nd half. 
Gainsborough was able to mount a comeback but came up short, however, a QB controversy may be on the horizon for the last couple of games. 
Indiana had a great performance behind the determined QB Tom Applewhite and returning RB Daniel Collins, leading to their 4th win of the season.

The final shock of the week would see the Falcons pull off the upset against the Wolves.
QB Emerson Thompson continued to impress, leading the Falcons on a game-winning drive in the dying minutes of the 4th. 
Vancouver was shocked, especially when they had fallen into a 7-20 hole, but managed to get back into the lead, only to allow the Falcons to get the last kick in at the buzzer.
The loss for Vancouver gives Minnesota their 3rd straight West Division title.

QB Ryan Alexander would make his first career start after being drafted 15th overall earlier this year.
Alexander was able to manage the game well, but it was RB Shannon West who had a massive game, scoring 3 touchdowns to help the Steelheads capture their 5th win of the season. 
Indiana had a wild time under centre. QB Tom Applewhite started the game, but after taking a bump in the 2nd, QB Matt Fletcher would take over only for him to suffer a significantly worse injury, which led to QB Lee Rogers playing a bit.
After a couple of bad drives from Rogers, Applewhite would re-enter the game and finish the game in what could be a very disappointing final game in Indianapolis for Applewhite who looks less and less likely to return to the Victors next season.

The Royals would crush the Mariners en route to putting themselves in the best position to make the playoffs they could.
The Royals dominated the first half before going on cruise control in the 2nd half, even letting QB Ray Trace get some playing time in the 4th quarter.
QB Todd Sparrow had a tough outing against the Royals’ defence but still managed to get 14 points on the board, but then QB Colt Dorsey would get a chance to get some experience in the 4th, unfortunately throwing a pick-6 on his first drive.

The Tigers put an end to their 3-games skid with a massive win over the Central Division champs.
QB Henry Johnsson was back to his old self, helping WR Lloyd Lane get a score against his old team and RB Jeremy Royal would score a couple touchdowns in a great performance. However, it was LB Everett Lynch that played a huge part in the win getting a pick and a forced fumble.
Louisville kept it close with WR Casey Coleman scoring a couple of touchdowns, but the interception from Lynch would allow Royal to put the game out of reach in the 4th.

Minnesota would get a convincing win over Winnipeg to keep a potential 1st place finish intact heading into the final game of the season.
The Serpents' defence did a lot of the heavy lifting, only allowing 11 points by the 4th quarter, but the offence was pretty steady as well.
Winnipeg would start QB Xerxes Wynn for the 3rd time this season, giving him at least one more shot. He had his moments, throwing a pair of touchdowns, but was pretty alright the rest of the game.

Regina would grab their 3rd win of the season beating the Rangers behind a solid performance from QB Stanley Evans, who threw a pair of touchdowns.
Edmonton decided to change it up in the backfield with QB Leif Christiansen taking over for QB Ken Myers, getting his first career start after getting his first bit of action in the playoffs last year replacing QB Louis Vaughn for Pittsburgh.
Christiansen did throw a touchdown in the game, and mounted a small comeback in the 3rd, but still couldn’t do a whole lot with the offence throughout the game.

Pittsburgh not only got the important win over Buffalo but dominated, winning by well over enough to steal the tiebreaker between the two teams putting them in a stronger position to make the postseason. 
The Vaughn and Tracy duo did their thing to get out to the massive lead, but the defence also stepped up in a big way, only allowing 9 points to the Blue Wings.
QB Charles Lemieux had an uncharacteristically rough day with a couple of interceptions, being unable to score much all day.

The rematch between the Independents and Gold Stars would be as tight as could be, heading to overtime, which inevitably still couldn’t find a winner. 
QB Michael Miranda would get his first start for the Gold Stars coming off of his injury while replacing QB Jace Beleren after a tough game last week against Long Island.
He was solid in keeping the Gold Stars in the game, though with a lot of help from RBs Tresean Jones and Ronnie Byers. 
QB Nathaniel Braddock was able to tie the game late with a great touchdown drive, but in the end, he couldn’t get past the Gold Stars’ defence in OT.
Despite the tie, Boston still clinched their first playoff berth since 1969.

The Raiders almost let the first half of a home-and-home with Montreal slip away from them after leading 0-10 in the first half, only to see the Rouge climb back and take a lead in the 4th.
RB Rudy Saunders would help to get the game tied back up, scoring his first touchdown before the Raiders would run away in overtime to secure the important win.
QB Martin Michaud got the second start of his career, helping the Rouge back into the game in the 3rd, before throwing a touchdown to take the lead in the 4th, but couldn’t finish the game with a win in overtime.

Vancouver would put an end to Calgary’s playoff hopes while securing their own in a strong win over the Predators.
QB Kevin Westwood would put on a strong first half, with a pair of touchdowns, giving Vancouver a comfortable lead.
Calgary was able to climb back into the game in the later stages, but a big mistake on a lateral attempt would allow DL Qian Zhou to score his second touchdown of the season which would put the Predators’ season to bed.

Boston would grab the last home playoff game spot with a win over the Mariners to close out the season.
The starters got to play the first 3 quarters before a few backups got in, but QB Nathaniel Braddock stayed in the game until the last touchdown was scored in the 4th.
For the Mariners, the game was a send-off to their long-time QB Lyle Painter, who is set to retire at the end of the season. Painter was given the final start of the season, eventually throwing his final touchdown of his career to WR Jav Kerrigan.

One week after their OT battle, the Raiders and Rouge locked horns in a pivotal match-up for the Raiders.
The Rouge got ahead in the 1st half with some turnovers and solid play from QB Martin Michaud in his 2nd start in a row.
The Raiders were able to bounce back in the 3rd, with a pair of touchdown from QB Ivan Sanchez, before taking a 3-point lead in the 4th.
However, the Raiders season would be put in jeopardy when QB Martin Michaud evaded pressure in the pocket to find WR Antonio Villanueva, who would break a pair of tackles en route to a 27-yard touchdown that would stand as the game-winner.

Two well-matched-up teams would battle in Ottawa with the Royals still hoping to lock up a playoff spot while the Gold Stars had a chance at the #1 seed.
The game was tight in the first half with both teams’ defences and offences playing well.
However, Ottawa would pull away in the 3rd quarter, despite the late push from the Gold Stars, DB Sergio Alvarez would put the game to bed with a late interception to clinch the big win and a playoff berth for the Royals.
QB Michael Miranda was the starter once again for the Gold Stars, but they were unable to come away with a win, leaving them a 0-2-1 without QB Red King, who they will not have next week for the Quarter-Finals.

The Blue Wings and Victors faced off in the final week of the season for the 2nd year in a row, however, this time only the Blue Wings had a chance of clinching a playoff spot.
QB Charles Lemieux would dish it out in a great game for himself and the offence that got out to a 1-31 lead by the 3rd quarter.
The team would hold on for a convincing win to capture their 7th consecutive playoff appearance with the Raiders losing to Montreal.
QB Peter Dooling would get his first career start, coming in for the Victors. Dooling’s maiden outing would be rough, throwing 3 interceptions before QB Lee Rogers would replace him in the 4th.

A meaningless contest between the Steelheads and Thunder would see rookie QB Ryan Alexander get his second straight start for Toronto while QB Al Washington would also get his first career start for Louisville.
Alexander relied a lot on RB Shannon West who had another great game this week, but also threw his first touchdown pass to WR Matthew de la Cruz en route to a 2-0 start in his career.
Washington was solid as well, but did throw a couple of interceptions, but did connect with WR Ben Graham to make the game close heading into the 4th.

Despite the game not having too much significance, the Predators and Wheat Kings would have a banger of a game that would come down to the wire. 
Regina recovered from an early 3-14 hole and took the lead late in the 4th, on the back of QB Stanley Evans, who had a solid game.
On the other side, QB Emmitt Jackson had a great performance with 2 passing touchdowns and a rushing score, but on the final drive, down by 29-26, Jackson would take a big hit.
QB Mitch Boland would step in and would finish the drive strong hitting rookie WR Eric Norris for the touchdown to give Calgary the close win and finish out their best NAAF season at 6-8.

Edmonton would get a win to close out the season with QB Leif Christiansen leading the way in his 2nd straight win.
A touchdown pass from Christiansen plus a safety from DL Caleb Cologne in the 3rd would be the key plays in the team’s win.
Winnipeg rolled with QB Xerxes Wynn again but wasn’t super impressed with Wynn getting taken down for the safety and throwing a couple of interceptions, but he did have a bright spot with a great play to get the team’s only touchdown of the game.

The Wolves and Serpents would still roll with starters for their season's final matchup.
Minnesota hoped they may still capture the #1 seed while Vancouver had a chance at a home playoff game.
The Wolves would be the ones to take a big lead in the 3rd with Westwood finding WR Keshawn Johnston early in the 3rd.
While some expected the Wolves to put their starters away, they decided not to, and even still the Serpents would climb back, but then Westwood would put the game to bed with a toss to WR Tristan Lewis.
Vancouver would pick up the win, Minnesota would fall short giving Providence the #1 seed, marking the first time since 1953, that the Gold Stars have finished with the top record in the league.

With everything else that happened earlier in the day, the stakes in final game were: 
London needed a win by more than 15 points to clinch the final playoff spot while Pittsburgh needed either a win or a loss by less than 15.
London got out to a great start, getting up to a 10-0 lead in the 1st off of a big turnover from a S Ezekiel Locke forced fumble
However, Pittsburgh would quickly turn it around in the 2nd, scoring a pair of touchdowns to take the lead, leaving London in a 19-point hole with the stakes taken into account.
London would get an early touchdown, but turnovers would cost them dearly, allowing Pittsburgh to get up to a 17-28 lead.
London got one last touchdown, but on their next drive, QB Henry Johnsson tossed a pick to DB Aiden Sargent that would secure the win for Pittsburgh and a 4th straight playoff appearance.
