They say all good things must come to an end. This confirms that the Atoms' winning streak was in fact a good thing, as it has been ended at the hands of the Minnesota Gemini. Thanks to the Blackbirds' loss to the Masons, however, we've retained our 01-game lead on the NL. Looking forward to this week, we get another tough test in the Oakland Squirrels, who are coming off a heartbreaking defeat tie against San Diego. We'll break out our Fields of the Future uniforms against the Squirrels, and modeling them is SP Cole Ragans, who was our most effective player this past week, hurling 07 shutout innings, striking out 07 while only allowing 02 hits and 02 walks. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

The Bison took down the Pros in convincing fashion, and now move to the other half of the sibling owners, as we host the Kansas City Colts to Cox Ballpark. The Colts come into this pushing .500 on the season, and we look to maintain our lead in the AL. We'll break out the alternate browns for this one, as we highlight last week's top player, outfielder Wilyer Abreu, who paced the team with 4 singles, a pair of doubles, a triple, and a home run for the cycle, with a walk, 4 runs, 5 RBI, and a steal to finish off the stat sheet. #WeAreOK

The Atoms had a great game, but the Squirrels had a better one, and Oakland squeaked out a win, leaving Las Vegas at 06-02. We'll try to break our two-game skid against San Diego, who are another hot team as of late. We still have a share of the NL lead, but we'll need to turn things around to stay in contention here. To do that, we'll keep handing the ball to our best player in last week's game, which was again a reliever - and not just any reliever: a SP/RP! Specifically, it was Ryan Walker, who threw 04 shutout innings, striking out 05 and earning 03 holds. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

The Thunderbirds had a great week, but unfortunately Memphis had a better one and handed us another loss to put us back at .500. We are still in playoff contention despite our poor record, and we'll have a chance to improve in the AL on the road against the 4-4 Minnesota Gemini. Our rotation was on point last week, highlighted by recent addition SP Ryan Weathers, who struck out 15 across 13 innings with 2 quality starts and a win, only allowing a single run all of last week. #Thunderstruck

Well, that's a disappointment, as the Colts hand us just our second loss of the season, before we head back out on the road. We're going against winless Chicago for the second time in two weeks, but this time in the Windy City. The Pros are looking to split the series, so we're looking to take them back down. We'll be in the road khakis for this one. Our featured player for this one will be second base/third base Joey Ortiz, who had 4 singles, 4 doubles, 4 RBIs, 5 walks, 8 runs, and even added a stolen base for good measure. #WeAreOK

And we're back. The Atoms solidly defeated the Pandas to snap our two-game skid and move to 07-02 on the season, putting us into a tie for the AltLB's best record. We finish out our three-game homestand against Memphis, who have been a bit of a surprise team over the first several weeks of the season. If they can stay as hot as they have been, it will certainly be quite the challenge. Fortunately for us, our offense has been picking it back up, as we feature a hitter for the first time since all the way back in week 03. The hitter in question is SS Willy Adames, who slugged two homers and drove in 10 runs against San Diego, and was also the only player on either side with double-digit hits, reaching exactly 10. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

The Thunderbirds managed to take one home on the road after a scare and comeback against Minnesota. We are now once again over the .500 mark this season, and we return home to get more than a game above that mark. We host the Carolina Griffins, who have faltered through the first part of the season after a playoff berth last year. It's Pride Night at Gila River Field, where we'll be giving away special merchandise for all that come through our gates. Featured for this week in our typical home whites is SP Chris Bassitt, who got two wins across 10 innings pitched last week, striking out 14 along the way. #Thunderstruck

Okay, it's time for our post-week 10 stats updates. Clearly, all these can be seen on Fantrax, so these are some things I noticed:
- The Los Angeles Condors are 1st in hitting in the league, but 15th in pitching.
- The Las Vegas Atoms did get their first triple of the season in week 9. It's their only triple. I assume it was an accident. They also are in last in Home Runs, but tied for first in double.
- The Oakland Squirrels lead the league in both RBI and Hit By Pitches. Is there a correlation?
- The Arizona Thunderbirds have 58 total pitcher losses on the season, which is 19 more than the Bison, the second highest.
- The Thunderbirds and Bison have the most losses on the season, but also the most Quality Starts.
- The Havana Cubans have had 0 Saves or Holds on the season. The Tampa Bay Turtles have not gotten a Hold on the season.
- The Oklahoma City Bison have 99 strikeouts more than second place, and 483 more than last place. The difference of 483 is more than 6 teams have on the entire season.
- The Chicago Pros are last in 50% of the scoring categories, and second or third to last in two other categories.

With the second win over the Pros in the last three weeks, the Bison move to 8-2, which is the best in the league. Now we head northwest to somewhere in Minnesota to take on the Gemini on the road. We're looking to keep on the right side of the win column, as we look to keep our game advantage on the Deacons and deal a blow to the Gemini's early playoff hopes. We'll be in the standard road khakis in this one, and we're featuring rookie pitcher Jared Jones, who went 11 innings, struck out 9 while allowing only 2 runs, notching both a quality start and a win. #WeAreOK

Facing a huge deficit late in the game, the Atoms stormed back on Sunday to briefly take the lead, only to let it slip away. We fall to the Kings, who would probably be the best team in the league if they would just set their lineups, but we all know that's not gonna happen. In any case, our focus is on this week's World Series rematch in Detroit against a hobbled Deacons squad. It'll be a nice chance at revenge if we can pull it off, but for now, we're focused on retaining our lead on the National League so we cam get the ultimate revenge in September. We're rocking the road grays again, and rolling out SP Nathan Eovaldi to shout out his 12 2⁄3 inning, 12 strikeout, 03 earned run performance against Memphis. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom
