Worthy looks very nice, very classic, and that's it's beauty, I like the Alpite logo, very modern and memorable, Parion is the best one so far, nice wordmark choice, and the best logo.

The Klibe livery looks good, I like the triple Klibe, it looks like it's from the 1970's, like those tv idents and graphics, Yanez looks nice, very nice logo, Jasper Graig is simple, classic, but pretty modern.

Thanks for the great comments and feedback!

Re: Torland: Formula Twelve (F12)

We continue on with the next set of three race teams:

With the top three auto companies on board, the fourth big dog in Torland made plans for their own race development team. Am-Electro Technologies, based out of Trowburgh and one of the fastest-growing companies in Torland, appointed Shad Galvan to oversee a partnership with Tony Blackwood of Blackwood Motorsports, and owner of the THL's Narva Neptunes, to create Am-Electro Racing and develop new technology for formula-style engines. Galvan chose to partner with nearby Bisson Tires. Galvan and Blackwood recruited rising star Bobby Ackerman, 23, from Glen Mell to be the lead driver. An experienced secondary driver in Arlie St. John, 27, was also recruited, along with the only designated third/test driver in the league in Bobby's cousin Billy Ackerman, still just 17 years old. With Galvan and Blackwood on board, Am-Electro's splash into Formula Twelve made big headlines.

Soon after, a second Am-Electro team was formed under Haywood Slater, former AE mechanic, with former dirt racer Mike Truong out of Kirkenport, Alrene Isles. With an AE motor and Bisson tires, the Slater-Truong Group has serious firepower, especially with the legendary Truong clan aboard. Mike's son Martin Truong, 25, is a star driver like his dad. Mike's younger son Marc was also just drafted in the THL by the Kirlow Kodiaks in 1971 and won best rookie. It's rumored that eldest son Mike Junior might also come over from dirt racing. With Mike as the crew chief and mechanic, STG is ready for primetime, especially with the Midnight Mile circuit on the calendar. Racing isn't quite as popular in the north as it is in the southeast, but the Truong name is a big win for Am-Electro and Formula Twelve overall.

Even more racing icons lead by Burton Bolt, one of the original racing families who founded the sport in Torland, assembled a team out of racing birthplace Sonneca, Maienzona. The Bolts are racing royalty, with numerous drivers. The Bolt Racing Club will feature the experienced Stanley Dent (F12 vice president Steve's brother) as crew chief and a pair of vastly experienced drivers in Steve Coyle and Dave Nash. Local boys are often dubbed the “Sons of Sonneca” especially so with Coyle, 30, who has raced and won in nearly every track and style in Torland. Nash, 29, is from Dosa City originally and has similar experience though with fewer wins. Burton Bolt chose a Parion engine and paired it with Goodwin tires for their club.

Up next will be the final three inaugural teams!

Re: Torland: Formula Twelve (F12)

I thought our group might appreciate some indigo and volt, glad y'all like it! (early designs, obviously, but you can see the potential when liveries get fun)

Up next we have the final three of the starting twelve!

Another team in the birthplace of racing in Sonneca was formed by the talented and innovative Amaya family. Juan-Alonzo Amaya is the principal owner and crew chief, building a special chassis paired with an Alpite motor and Bisson tires. Younger brother Armando is the primary driver, 22, with enough experience to be on the edge of becoming a breakout star. 21-year-old son of Sonneca Kris Cardona is the secondary, still green but drives fast. The Amayas are known for speed over control. Cousin Anita is the only female chief mechanic in the league, often overlooked but she has developed a keen sense of engineering working in the family garage since she could walk. The Amaya team also has a second garage in San Antoza where they speed test new cars for Alpite.

Business magnate Benny Massey owns a small motor company based out of Antedon, Solinza called Redforce Engines, under the Massey Motors umbrella, and saw an opportunity to help build his brand despite very little racing experience. The Redforce unit is not well-tested in racing, though it has done well in heavy duty sport vehicles, but Massey was convinced it would work. He hired former Parion mechanic Morgan Rupp to head up the garage in Antedon and brought in a pair of experienced west coast drivers to build a drive team in Dane Russo, 29, and the rising Andy Chapman, 24. Massey Motors Group will be new to the race scene but Benny Massey is sure they'll do well.

After a twelfth group fell through, Calhoun and Dent had to look elsewhere for a final team for the inaugural group of teams. They reached out to several investors but found no willing interest in taking on such a large endeavor. Finally they contacted popular Torland fast food chain Honey Whale to see if they would sponsor a race team in addition to the numerous youth hockey and other sports in their sponsorship brand. Despite reservations on entering a new sport with little experience or knowledge, Honey Whale agreed to it with the help of former racing mechanic legend Chuck McLoughlin. Big Loff is a gregarious figure with more talk than results but he's a genius in engineering and a solid get for HW so late in the game. Because of their last minute addition, finding quality drivers was difficult, settling on Kasey Jaynes and Mitch Walden. Jaynes, 24, is a local Portarra kid with barely enough experience to qualify and Walden, 23, has never raced formula cars.

And now we have our inaugural twelve race teams and 24 drivers who are headed to San Jotapa to kick off the race season!

Who are you rooting for?

Re: Torland: Formula Twelve (F12)

01 SAN JOTAPA
March 10-12, 1972 | Old Sanjo Circuit

The festivities kicked off on March 10th, 1972 in San Jotapa, Pakola at the venerable Old Sanjo Circuit with race fans old and new excited for the inaugural race and season of the fledgling league. Nearly 125,000 fans gathered, making it one of the largest in national history. All twelve teams settled in with practices and qualifiers. Nathan Najera (#9) won pole position. On race day, Commissioner Grover Calhoun and Vice President Steve Dent hosted the President of Torland Thomas Earl Foster to wave the inaugural green flag. Without further ado, Round One!

How'd your team/favorite driver do?

Race Report by Lando “Bones” Jones

The Parion team looked hot out of the gate with Najera (#9) winning pole position and Giroux (#4) not far behind. It was a hard-charging Am-Electro team that saw the win, however, with Bobby Ackerman (#50) and Arlie St. John (#51) in the top 10 all race long. Ackerman's passing moves in the final lap brought home a victory to the team with a veteran move over Najera. The young Najera will surely learn from this experience. The track at San Jotapa was in fine condition and the turnout was incredible. The Worthy machines looked solid all day with Wes Junior (#01) placing third. The Truong team was a pest all race day, with Martin (#17) gamely placing fifth overall. Team Amaya looked great until Cardona (#34) had trouble, which threw off Armando (#33) a bit, landing sixth. Learning experience for the Amaya Team. The big surprise was how well Kasey Jaynes (#12) of Honey Whale raced, having little experience and thrown together last minute while still placing just shy of the points at ninth overall. Not the same could be said for teammate Walden (#24) who looked every bit out of place in the field. It was a bad day for Jasper Graig, who had both cars suffer issues early and not finish the race. They will need to regroup for Dosa City and make a better showing.

Edit: Good idea, Dan. Here's a key for all the teams:

ART - Alpite Racing Team
AET - Am-Electro Racing (Am-Electro Technologies)
AGPR - Amaya Grand Prix Racing
BRC - Bolt Racing Club
HWRT - Honey Whale Racing Team
JGR - Jasper Graig Racing
KSR - Klibe-Schmitt Racing
MMG - Massey Motors Group
PMRT - Parion Motors Racing Team
STG - Slater-Truong Group
WM - Worthy Motorsports
YRT - Yanez Racing Team

Re: Torland: Formula Twelve (F12)

A legend somewhere for what teams the abbreviations stand for would be helpful. That being said, heck yeah Bobby Ackerman bringing home the win for AmElectro!

Re: Torland: Formula Twelve (F12)

Great start so far Steel!  I've got one more suggestion for the standings.  If it's possible, in addition to the team abbreviations, I wonder if it'd be still a bit easier to tell which team is which by coloring the abbreviation box the team color the racer is on (I'd imagine with everyone having different colors, or at least different color combos, that's probably make identifying who's on what team in the standings pretty easy to quickly understand)

Keep up the good work!

This is what I came here to pitch. Some color coordination wouldn't hurt in the early years.
