Re: The AltHL Season 2022

Well, we got the help we needed last week, but it didn't do us much good because we didn't help ourselves. Calgary had a great week, Edmonton had a bad one, and while the Wildcats aren't mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, we'll need at least one miracle to happen in order to crash the dance. That said, we'll be looking to finish the season strong against Portland. Of course, the Sawblades are a very good team, so it probably won't happen. Oh well. Maybe G Stuart Skinner and his fabulous moustache can pull a rabbit out of the hard hat. #WhatTeam #PORvsEDM

Re: The AltHL Season 2022

Well, we did what we needed to knocked off the Loons to secure the 48ers first ever trip to the playoffs. We have one week left, and we're looking to lock up the 4 seed in the playoffs with a very tough matchup with the Central Conference Champions, the Winnipeg Arrows. The 48ers have one guy on the roster currently we haven't highlighted, so Nikita Zadorov can show off the standard road ivory set as we head north of the border. #MilwaukeesFinest

Re: The AltHL Season 2022

Following up a win over the playoff's top seeded Winnipeg Arrows to close out the regular season, the Milwaukee 48ers head back home to start the playoffs. We're looking to put up a good fight and move on to the second round, but the Montreal Chevaliers are no joke. We're going to play our brand of physical hockey, and try to grab a second win this season over the Chevs. We're going to be wearing the standard brown jerseys in this one, shown off by this season's top scorer, Steven Stamkos! #MilwaukeesFinest

Re: The AltHL Season 2022

After a hard fought third year of the AltHL, the Montreal Chevaliers are the 2023 Alt Cup Champions! In a back and forth final, the Chevs had to withstand an ferocious comeback from the Ghosts. In the matchup's final day, Chicago's David Pastrnak scored a hat trick to give the Ghosts a commanding lead. Then the Chevs caught back up thanks to playoff hero Mikko Rantanen 3 points. The game was tied at 133.9 going into overtime of the final game of the season. Thanks to the Avalanche's (ironically the Chevs' legacy team) OT win against Anaheim, last minute pickup goalie Pavel Francouz got the victory and just enough points to clinch the game for le Rouge.

This was the not Montreal's best season but it was the one that ended they way it needed to.

On to next season!

Congrats Gritty! This is a title that's probably a couple years overdue. Montreal finally earned their crown!

Congrats Gritty, you deserved this one. The AltHL Cup stays in Canada and is back in the East. Looking forward to next year to hopefully take it from you.

Congrats to the Chevs! That was definitely a fun nail biter at the end for a fantastic close to the season.
