Christ, Hibbing has the absolute most innovative coach of all time. I don’t believe the conception of the cycle came about until the 70s and not made well known until the 80s in our universe. Grand Rapids must have been absolutely confused seeing that! Haha

Haha, you're right about that. I was more using the term for the way they were passing the puck around the zone rather than actually cycling like the Soviets.

1961 Kellogg Cup Final
1st Period
HIB - 0
BRD - 0
The first period came and went with little action on the ice, but the atmosphere was electric throughout the opening frame in the packed Hibbing Memorial Building.
2nd Period
HIB - 1
BRD - 0
The second period was all Hibbing, with the Greyhounds getting 4 powerplay opportunities and capitalizing on one of them to take a lead heading into the third.
3rd Period
HIB - 2
BRD - 0
Brainerd looked frustrated, both with the refs as well as themselves for not being able to solve Hibbing's defense that has been keeping them out of scoring positions all game long. Some frustrated Lumberjacks began taking their anger out on the ice, leading to even more penalties. Hibbing would capitalize on a powerplay goal from Polich to add a cushion late in the game. Brainerd would be unable to get anything going in those last few minutes with all of the momentum behind the Greyhounds who held on to win the 4th Kellogg Cup!
Brainerd defenseman Dallas Duffy was awarded the Tschida Trophy for leading his team to a league title and a Kellogg Cup Final appearance.
Let me know what you think, comments are appreciated!

How will the divisional setup affect the playoffs? And the addition of the new league?

The playoff alignment will be changed to reflect the new set up. I'm still trying to decide whether to make it more league focused in the opening rounds or keeping it open to all teams playing one another.

Major new came out of Hibbing this summer as two time Tschida Trophy winner Michael Polich announced his retirement after leading his team to their 3rd Kellogg Cup in his 11 year career. The Greyhounds wasted no time retiring his number to the rafters of the Hibbing Memorial Building, making him the second player to have his number retired.
Here are the Banners for the Hibbing Greyhounds after last years Kellogg Cup and Polich's retirement.
I got carried away making the banner for Polich and accidentally made the banners for every team in the league with a Kellogg Cup or League Title... whoops. If you are interested in seeing them all CLICK HERE.

Hate Hibbing but love the banners!
I looked through the folder, you really outdid yourself there on creating unique styles for every team.

Thank you, that means a lot! I actually did a bit of research into the arenas in each of the cities and got a look at banners that were used by other teams and based them on those.
