The South Division Champions are excited to get started this postseason. Tennessee will welcome the Emperors to the Viper Pit.
Tennessee has scored the most fantasy points this season. That comes from having a top 5 offense and defense. They are going to be a very tough out this postseason. They are lead by Jared Goff who has had an improved season. They also have been working first round rookie, Jonathan Taylor into a feature back. But it is has been the discovery of Antonio Gibson that has made the difference for the Copperhead offense. The Copperheads were lucky that they had drafted Goff - because their postseason hopes seemed lost when Dak Prescott was lost for the season due to injury. On defense they had to overcome the lost of defensive stalwart Derwin James - who when healthy is one of the best D players in the game. The Copperheads are the hottest team in the league, winning their last seven games.
They have to go up against another one of the league's hottest teams. New York is riding a five game winning streak. The Emperors had the blessing and curse of the top pick in the draft. They drafted Christian McCaffrey first overall. He has been out of the line up for much of the season. Their quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (not listed below) has been serviceable but has also dealt with injuries. The Emperors also lost their top wide receiver Courtland Sutton for the season. He finished the season with 0 fantasy points. That is a lot for a team to over come, but the Emperors found their footing and surged towards the playoffs. The roster for the Emperors has been updated slightly since the making of the graphic.

The final matchup of the weekend will take place on FOX. The league's top team, the Portland Grizzlies take on the Miami Hammerheads.
Portland has been the league's best team for the entire season. They finished the year with only one loss. Their lone loss was to the #2 seed Tennessee. Portland is led by former Copperhead, Tom Brady. They weathered the storm of Nick Chubb's injury. Portlanders can thank rookie James Robinson for stepping up in his absence. With Chubb back they are a formidable duo. The Grizzlies finished the season as the top rated offense.
They will go up against an elite defense from Miami. The Hammerheads emerged from a slugfest between all of the 7 and 6 teams. JJ Watt has had a resurgence this year and led the Frenzy Defense. On offense, WR DK Metcalf has emerged as one of the league's best and TE Travis Kelce cemented as the league's best tight end.
Despite sneaking into the playoffs, the Hammerheads have a lot of people worried in in the Pacific Northwest.

What about ABC replacing ESPN on the graphic?

A few years ago, ABC switched all of their broadcasts to ESPN broadcasts. Even if they are on ABC.

It is the ALTFL after all, so why not switch it to ABC?

It is true, but the channel at the end of the day doesn't even matter, it's just a graphic and ESPN has been used in the AltFL before with the MNF logo.

Because that's not how Gritty's doing it?

The Emperors have a local broadcasting agreement with WNET, the New York City PBS affiliate. Sorry for pre-empting your Antiques Roadshow with preseason football.
