Tough break for the Jacks. How does Hunter's health look for next season?

Nice run by the Black Bears, but congrats to the Blues on a great comeback win.

He should be fine for next season and Cleveland should return to the top of their division.

Re: An Alternate History of American Football: The NAFA

1959 NAFA Off Season

Four more teams added TV numbers this off season.

The Detroit Sparks and Indianapolis Chiefs made no other changes to their looks:

The Cleveland Lumberjacks replaced the block-C on their sleeves with the TV numbers and will now use their whole logo on their helmets instead of just the tree:

Finally, the Minneapolis Black Bears got rid of their half-sleeve design. They also switched their helmet logo from the block-M to the bear:

On July 3, 1959, Commissioner Tom Evans announced the NAFA would expand by two teams in the 1960-61 season.

The NAFA Expansion Council is once again open. If you would like to participate, please fill out the following information:

Name: Your character's first and last name.
Age: Your character's age.
Bio: Claim to fame, Business, Origins, etc.
Choices for the 1960-61 Expansion: Choose from two of the following six markets -

Boston, Massachusetts
Dallas, Texas
Miami, Florida
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Vancouver, British Columbia
Washington, D.C.

The council will open until Thursday, July 18 at 1:00pm EST.

Thanks for viewing and/or participating in the expansion council, C&C is appreciated.

Re: An Alternate History of American Football: The NAFA

I really like the new Black Bears new uni's.

It is a little hard to see the bear on the black jersey, maybe using the whole logo with the block M behind the bear could help

Re: An Alternate History of American Football: The NAFA

Would love to see how a gold helmet would work for the Bears. As for expansion, just reusing my previous one.
Name: Abigail Winter
Age: 45
Bio: College Professor at the Eastern Kentucky University, originally from Cincinnati, currently a fan of the Indianapolis Chiefs, hoping for a team to reach her hometown.
She votes for the following:

Boston and Washington. Two of the biggest cities in America. And threw college football we have learned of their strong potential for a good fanbase.

Re: An Alternate History of American Football: The NAFA

I'll just be reusing my Committee Bio as well.
Name: Chris Green
Age: 42
Bio: Owner of Green's Groceries, a grocery store chain with locations all across the Midwest. He was born and raised in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and currently resides in Milwaukee.
Choices for Expansion: Dallas and Miami. He wants to see this League expand Southward and while he would like to see more Canadian Teams, Vancouver would be too far of a stretch at this point in time.

Re: An Alternate History of American Football: The NAFA

I think a gold helmet would be stunning with that new set for Minny.

I can't remember which character I created before, so I'm gonna make a new one. Ha.

Name: Vern Koehler
Age: 51
Bio: Born in Tenneessee, moved to Texas, Oklahoma and Wyoming. Owns several large ranches and oil wells across the southern and western parts of the USA. He sees Dallas as a natural expansion into the south and Pittsburgh as being a key city between the midwest and eastern seaboard.
Choices: Dallas, Texas / Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
