Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

Plymouth is a city on the rise, sitting at about 20,000 right now. The Militia will play their home games on Medicine Lake.

The team will be called the "Militia", named after the Militia that residents of Plymouth formed during the Dakota War of 1862 who later fought in the Civil War. Their colors are burgundy and black and their logo is a PM monogram for Plymouth Militia.

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

I like that color scheme for the Spartans. I like the logo but I wish the top part was spiky instead of rounded. With so many new teams in this league, the Bandits and Eagles might be the perennial contenders out of the North Metro.

All the new teams in the West Metro look great as well. Edina probably feels great about it too.

Wow lot of black in the North Metro, big fan of the Militia and the Panthers however!

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

I was gonna say how the Panthers were easily the best team, and then I saw the Chargers. I'm a sucker for both green/gold color schemes and Futura, so bravo! I might have a new favorite team.

Really dig the Eden Prairie look and the Flames/KC Chiefs vibes from the Roosters.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the West Metro! If I had to pick I would probably say my personal favorite look of the new teams in the West would have to be Richfield just for the color combination and name (I love slightly unusual nicknames like Roosters).

Thank you, I'm glad you like the new teams. I definitely expect Blaine to change their logo possibly a few times down the line, but I don't see them ever switching color schemes. I would expect to see the former TCHL teams to be contenders in their respective leagues for the first couple years, having experience at a competitive level, Edina could be a favorite to win it all this year.

I also noticed the amount of black, I could see teams swapping the color of their away jersey or altering their color schemes down the line. I'm also a big fan of the way the Panthers turned out, but if I had to pick my favorite of the new teams in the north I'd have to agree with QCS and say the Chargers.

If anyone wants sigs made for any of the new teams or teams that are yet to come, feel free to ask me! I have a lot of free time on my hands at the moment and would love to make some stuff for you guys!

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

I DONT CHECK IN ON THIS THREAD FOR A WEEK AND NOW THERES GOING TO BE 21 NEW TEAMS!??!!?
I feel light headed all of a sudden. This is crazy oh my god. With all the real sports suspending their season, i guess im going to have to follow this full time now. You said you have been hinting at this huge expansion for over a year, what hints have you dropped. Also what was the MAHLs reason for such a large expansion? Did all these teams propose at the end of last season? I wonder if more out of state teams will join the league and force a league name change?
2 final notes:
THE COON RAPIDS TRASH PANDAS WILL WIN THE MAHL TITLE IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS
Shout out to my former high school, Hill-Murray for winning the state title this year! I still cant believe they won it!
