If it wasn't 1956, I'd think that the name of the team would be the Detroit Ignition (i.e. spark the ignition) but I do get the feeling this is going to have something to do with the automotive industry.

Like Stickman said, I’ve just been busy in real life and haven’t had the time to sit down and make the write-ups for this thread. I’ve also had “writer’s block” and didn’t really feel like writing when I did have time.

I’ll be back posting in the next few days.

Awesome. Hey, we all (should anyway) have real world obligations and those should always come before online stuff.

Also, writer's block sucks. Better quality than quantity IMO.

I'm loving the backstory you're setting up for this. Huh, you'd think Stratfor wouldn't have collapsed but, stuff happens I suppose.

Nice to see a new team win the title. Also looking forward to Cleveland going from a joke into a powerhouse by the arm of a rookie quarterback with plenty of potential. As well as the Lumberjacks doing the same thing.

Name: Jack Schmidt
Age: 37
Bio: Owner of Handsome Jack's Used Car Emporium outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is one of the first white dealers to sell cars to blacks as green is the only color he sees.
Choices: Chicago and Indianapolis. Chicago is the 2nd largest market in the country. How did they not get a team sooner? And Indianapolis makes sense as it is within range of most other teams thus making profitability easier due to lower travel expenses.

I do like Connecticut's uniforms. Only question I have is how the advent of television is going to affect the uniforms in general.

Only thing I will say is that until the 80s, you would want to have the letters form an arch individually as computer technology was non-existent outside of a top-secret British program at this time and not sophisticated enough to design logos with until the mid-late 80s (IIRC the Twins baseball logo was one of the first to be designed using CADD software in 1987). Just a heads up on that front.

I like the striping and the darker shade. Helps to differentiate from Toronto's set because otherwise I'd have a hard time telling.

That is really convenient how the Covington owner wants to move to Cincinnati and then his park burns down. Real convenient.

LOL. Oh to be young and dumb again. Those were the good ol' days of message boarding. Now I'm approaching 30 and just yell at the tweens to get off my lawn.

I'm right there with you up to approaching 30. Damn I feel like I'm getting old already. I even remember when the Internet was more like the Wild West than an extension of the real world. Times really have changed.
