Last week's game came down to the wire, but the Angels just managed to eke out a win thanks to a walk-off touchdown by TE Jack Bech. That said, it's now time to move on from Philly and set our sights on Charlotte, as we head back home to face Queen City State. The Stingers are technically still alive in the playoff hunt, and though they'll need a lot to break their way, they'll be hungry to get a win this week. For the second time this year, we're pointing the spotlight toward RB Makhi Hughes, who picked up 132 total yards and scored two touchdowns. #GoldLeaf

After a stunning late-game collapse against Queen City State, we’re at 3-7, yet incredibly, a playoff spot is still on the table. This week, it all comes down to our showdown against St. Brendan’s in Boston. If we can secure the win, and Southern Colorado, Wichita A&M, and Riel all take losses, plus outscoring them and any winning teams from Twin Cities, Lone Star, or Queen City State, we could still find ourselves in the postseason. Suiting up in our classic navy helmet, navy jersey, navy pants, and red socks, we’re rallying around kicker John Love, who’s coming off a solid game with four extra points and a field goal. It’s do-or-die time, and we’re ready to give it everything to keep our season alive. #RenaissancePatriote

Thank you everyone for another great AltCAA season. Here are this year's Alt Americans! RB Ashton Jeanty is our first 2x Alt American.
Congratulations to the Hawaii State Hawks and the Hallows Headless Horsemen for their conference champions this year. This is the second conference title for the Hawks but in a different conference this year.
Congrats to Threshers running back Ashton Jeanty for becoming the first RB to win this award in the modern era.
Now onto the 2024 BOWL SEASON. We begin with the Avocado Bowl. The Hawaii State Hawks will take on Minnesota A&M this week. The Hawks are the defending Avocado Bowl champions after last year's victory over Hallows. Minnesota A&M is going bowling for the third time in three. This is the first time that they are not playing in KC for the Harvest Bowl.
This year's top-seeded team are the ECC Champion, Hallows Headless Horsemen. They will gallop into Washington DC to take on Wichita A&M. WAM is playing in their third straight bowl game...previously having won 2 Beacon Bowls.
Next up is the Harvest Bowl. This game will feature the defending National Champion Johns Island Angels and the ever-underrated but always dangerous Bucks of Michigan Institutional. While Michigan Institutional didn't win the natty last year they did win last year's Harvest Bowl.
Finally our 4-5 match up is a unique rematch of last week's Keystone Clash between Pennsylvania Commonwealth and the Hershey Wildcats. This is the Big Blue's third straight bowl game but have yet to win one.
After this week we will head to the North Star Bowl and the Beacon Bowl as our semi-final games. I look forward to everyone's uniform reveals for the week.

And after the Beacon and North Star Bowls, we will play the National Championship. But where? We have 4 potential cities to host the AltCAA Championship game. I will list the cities in alphabetical order, and provide the name of the stadium and the reason submitted by the owner that submitted their AltFL stadium. You then vote. YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOUR OWN STADIUM. I mean, you can, but I won't count it. This is a trial to see how it would affect voting in the future with something that doesn't have any impact on the league. Due date for vote submission is Friday, November 15th at 11:59pm Central (since that's easier for me)
Charlotte, North Carolina - Lowe's Field
Lowe's Field is a state-of-the-art, 80,000+-seat stadium right in the heart of the Southeast, college football's home. Queen City State may not be the best team, but you can guarantee the fans of Charlotte will show up and cheer for the championship game.
Chicago, Illinois - United Stadium
United Stadium is a historic stadium within Chicago, and traditionally these types of games are hosted not in the Midwest. We would want to change that with some pleasant winter weather, so the players will have to fight for the win in the winter weather.
San Diego, California - KF11 Field at Oceanside Stadium
Well, visiting teams are winning in San Diego this year, so I guess one more won't hurt
Seattle, Washington - Microsoft Edge Stadium
it's seattle, so it'll probably be raining which will lead to some sickos football. let's face it: you know you want to watch a bunch of beefy men wearing tight clothes roll around in the mud for several hours

Let's go bowling! We knocked off Southern Colorado to close out the regular season with the highest point total in the country for the season. Now we're off to Phoenix and the Avocado Bowl, this year against Minnesota A&M. The Threshers were beaten by Michigan Institutional in the final week of the season, so they come out west instead of hosting the Harvest Bowl. We're gonna try and keep the offense rolling in this one and attempt to slow down Heisman winner Ashton Jeanty. Our featured player this week is wide receiver Jaylin Noel, who had 167 yards and 2 touchdowns last week against the Stegos. #FlyingHI

The BIG BLUE are back in the playoffs and excited to head to Nashville for the 2024 Whiskey Bowl. This week we have rematch against our Pennsylvania rival - the Hershey Wildcats. Some of our best weeks ever have come against the Wildcats, going 3-0 in the rivalry game in recent years. That history will directly clash with our 0-3 record in bowl games. Hershey is as formidable as ever and we will need a big performance out of our seniors. For this week, we will be donning our classic home uniforms.

Gritty, I'm in love with Penn Comm's turkey logo. I love sports-playing mascots so much and this one is the perfect amount of aggressive and goofy!

Johns Island is back in the playoffs, but for the first time in three years, come in as a seed other than #1. That also means we won't be playing in the Whiskey Bowl, which we've won the past two seasons, but instead head out to Kansas City to play in the Harvest Bowl. There, we match up against the best team not to win their conference championship, the Michigan Institutional Bucks, who are coming off a big win over rival Minnesota A&M to secure the right to host this bowl. The Angels, meanwhile, will be without our only Alt-American, as WR/TE Jack Bech is away from the team for personal reasons. Instead, earning a spot on the graphic for the third time in four weeks is sophomore RB Makhi Hughes, who was our best and most consistent performer this season, racking up 1,209 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground and adding another 125 and 2 through the air. #GoldLeaf

And the location for the final has been chosen: with 8 responses, 4 votes were for Chicago, Illinois! So the championship game will be in Chicago. On the last day of November.
Final tally:
4 - Chicago, IL
2 - San Diego, CA
1 - Charlotte, NC
1 - Seattle, WA

Congrats to our Final Four teams. And of course I forgot to change the dates. So it should be 11/23
