LOVE the new logo for Chicago.

I also like the update to the Pirates uniforms, but I'm gonna miss the skull and crossbones.

Good updates! The new Tigers look great. I dig the Pirates update but do miss the skull and crossbones as well. Maybe we can get that back in a patch or alternate looks at some point. Chicago's new logo is pretty cool. There are a lot of ways you could go with that in future updates.

I absolutely love that Zephyrs logo. So much so I think that they're my new favorite team.

The Pirates update makes sense for the time, making it easier to let go of the beloved skull. I think it looks sharp and am happy as a pirates fan.

The Zephyrs have an awesome new logo that is really eye catching. Can’t wait to see how it is built on in the future.

Glad y'all really like the Chicago logo! A bit surprised by all the love for Washington's skull and cross bones logo. Hopefully you guys will like what I have in store in the future!

Here's your sig Steel, It's a little blurry on my part but i'm not sure why. Tell me if you're having the same problem.

Alright so before the 1953 season I have a bit of an update. Hopefully you guys don't mind but I've cut down the season write ups and stuff because I don't have the time to write such long paragraphs. When I get the chance I will write more. But I want to get progress done and decided to cut down on the writing for now at least. So hopefully you guys don't mind.

Here's the 1953 Standings:
New York Cannons 7-0-1
Hornets 6-2
Pittsburgh Ironmen 6-2
St. Louis Tigers 5-2-1
Boston Gaels 3-5
Chicago Zephyrs 3-5
Washington Pirates 2-6
Detroit Bombers 1-7

The MVP award went to RB Quentin Brookes of the New York Cannons.
The MOR award went to QB Eugene Addams of the Philadelphia Hornets.
The MOC award went to Coach William Towles of the Philadelphia Hornets.

-New York jumps to the top, led by RB Quentin Brookes, finally topping the hill and making the championship.
-Joining them are the Hornets, making their 3rd appearance.
-Detroit finishes last for the 3rd straight year.
-Pittsburgh misses the Champions Bowl for the first time in 3 years.
-Tigers bring in the 2nd highest attendance in their first season in their first season in St. Louis.

The 1953 Champions Bowl:
-Christmas Day, 1953, the 8th Champions Bowl, being played in the biggest city in the country. A matchup between the Hornets of Philadelphia and the Cannons of New York City. One of the best teams to play the game and maybe the best Cannons squad to take the field against the young and upcoming Hornets squad. Expected to be a tight matchup. The Hornets receive the ball to start the game but fumble two plays in and set New York up in great position. The spiraled into New York jumping to a 21-0 lead in the middle of the 2nd quarter. The Hornets make something of a comeback, eventually coming within a score but fall short. Watching as the Cannons win the Champions Bowl 38-28 in front of their home crowd.

Hopefully you guys like the new write ups! C&C appreciated, how'd your team do?

Welp, I'm going to assume the new format is okay for now. Would greatly appreciate any C&C though!

Here's the 1953-54 Offseason!

It started off with the 1954 Draft!
The first 3 picks were:
1.
Detroit Bombers: DE George Portson- New York State
2.Washington Pirates: QB Scott Hogg- Illinois State
3.Chicago Zephyrs: WR Harold Schmitt- Florida Southern

Here are the rest of any important pick ups or news from the offseason!
-Zephyrs pick up RB Nikolas Smith from Pirates
.
-Detroit brings in WR Gabriel Coleman from Pittsburgh.
-Gaels pick up QB Kenny Durham from the Hornets after Eugene Addams blew up.

There was some very unfortunate news as well.

-Elijah Kingston announces his last season. After 7 years with Boston before joining the Ironmen in 1950. 1954 will be his 11th season. He’ll be 33 years old.
-Terrence Gaines announced he’ll be joining his rival in retiring. After being drafted in 1939 to the Washington Pirates in the APL. He played there for 14 years before recently being traded to Chicago.

There were no identity changes this offseason.

C&C appreciated!

Okay thanks! I'll stick to it for now then.

Here's the 1954 season!

Philadelphia Hornets: 7-1
St. Louis Tigers: 7-1
Chicago Zephyrs: 5-2-1
New York Cannons: 4-3-1
Detroit Bombers: 4-4
Boston Gaels: 3-5
Washington Pirates:1-7
Pittsburgh Ironmen: 1-7

The MVP award went to Eugene Addams of the Philadelphia Hornets
The MOR award went to DE George Portson of the Detroit Bombers
The MOC award went to Coach William Towels of the Philadelphia Hornets

-Heartbreak strikes the “King”, Elijah Kingston in his final season, as he gets injured in week 2 and misses all but the last game of the season. It’s undetermined if he is still going to retire
-Philadelphia led by Eugene Addams wins 7 straight to end season and make their 4th Champions Bowl appearance.
-Wayne Pearson leads the St. Louis Tigers back to the Champions Bowl.-Detroit has best record in franchise history, all 4 of their losses were 1 possession losses.
-Terrance Gaines has a solid last year leading the Zephyrs to 5 wins.

-Two of the winningest teams in the NFA meeting for the 9th ever Champions Bowl in Barber Field, in the beautiful city of Chicago. Philadelphia jumps to a quick halftime lead, up 14-3. Pearson ties the game up for the Tigers at 17. Going into the final drive of the game, St. Louis has a chance to win on a field goal. But as time expires, their field goal attempt is far right. This activated the never before used overtime rules. Both teams would get a chance at scoring. Both teams start at the 50 and it keeps going until 1 team doesn’t score. Philadelphia being the home team gets the first opportunity. The get down the field and score. St.Louis however gets stopped and the Hornets win their 2nd Champions Bowl;  24-17.

Philadelphia, despite being the home team, elected to wear their aways to create a better contrast with St. Louis.

C&C appreciated! How'd your team do this season!
