Friday, March 30 – Boston, Massachusetts
Today opened Last Call for free agents.  It closed shortly thereafter when all four teams telegraphed into the league offices that they have no intentions of signing anymore free agents.

April – NVF
In the month of April some individuals were hired as assistant coaches.  Fons Jespersen was hired by the Boston Checkers, Gerald Tighe was hired by the Pittsburgh Challengers, and the most newsworthy of all Colin Poggi, the former Boston Checkers Head Coach, was hired by the Milwaukee Monsters.

May-June – NVF
Through the months of May and June the six open roster spots are filled with new players.  Of note among them is Ramiro Chaplin from Dubuque, Iowa who has signed with the St. Louis Steamers.  Chaplin only has one eye.  He lost his left eye in his teenage years in a farming accident.  The other new players are the Pittsburgh Challengers Lennie Sarkozy from Modesto, California; Milwaukee Monsters Bert Acconcio from Buffalo, New York; and Rodolfo Abraham of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; Boston Checkers Kim Herman from Valley Stream, New York; and Frederic Nielson of Graham, North Carolina.   None of the players appear at this point to be likely standout stars.  The most promising among them are assessed to be Ramiro Chaplin and Frederic Nielson.

Is there any chance of expansion in the near future?
