I've held off on making a decision on Vegas, but I think I might as well support a name now. I definitely like Jokers FC. It feels more major-league than Atomic City and more natural then Vegas 51.

American Premier League's 28th Franchise - Jokers FC

I feel bad disappointing people but in the end I decided to go with Jokers FC. As I said earlier in the week I loved so many of the suggestions that I had a challenging time deciding.

I selected the finalists of Atomic City FC, Jokers FC and Vegas 51. Vegas 51 was the most popular of the finalists (seemingly) but they ended up third for me for a couple of reasons. First, I have been to Area 51 or Rachel, Nevada (2+ hours away) and it was fun but thought I could do something closer to the city. Second, their long time minor league team was the Las Vegas 51s. I like Atomic City a lot and was really torn. It is a cool nickname but they were chosen to be 'Atomic City' because no one lived there and they could safely blow up bombs. On the other hand the Atomic City projects led to a boom in population. Jokers FC is the casino route which I think it is a unique way of working that theme in. The fact that the Raiders and Golden Knight don't use this theme made that decision easier. I also like the potential of the Joker references.

Great suggestions everyone but Jokers FC kicks off 2022.

Next week we'll go to Buffalo, New York for the league's 29th team.

I think Jokers FC was the best out of the finalists, and probably top 3 out of all the options. I'm a fan!

Jokers is nice, if I could make one change it'd be to make it Las Vegas Jokers FC instead of just Jokers FC, but the logo is nice and the theme fits. Overall a solid logo and I think they'd make the Sin City proud!

The only reasons I stayed away from gambling for a suggestion is because I’m pretty sure most major leagues try to stay away from identities that highlight violence/gambling, and Ive heard before that Vegas citizens are not drawn to a gambling theme due to the fact that the city is way more than that to them. A real QCS like argument when it came to Charlotte. What really represents the area rather than what people think about it. I do like the logo a lot and I bet the uniforms will look clean with those colors. I’m not sure about the card shaped crest just because of personal preference, but the rest I’d take. Like voices before, the team needs a location identification in the name. Even if it is purely for marketability, I couldn’t imagine a team that would do that because a brand has to be instantly identifiable to new eyes. I could ask if the team was from Atlantic City or Reno or New Orleans. Then again, I’m not sure how thrilled a team would be with the title VJFC

Personally, I love that it is Jokers FC and not Vegas Jokers FC or Las Vegas Jokers FC. It makes the team seem more important and transcends geographical boundaries, similar to Celtic FC and Rangers FC in Scotland.

I think you should flip the words “JOKERS FC” on the bottom part of the crest to make it more like an actual playing card.
