They sound like the Sens and Leafs in the early 2000's. Hopefully their rivalry stays fresh longer than the Leafs and Sens did.

C'mon boys! Let's get our 4th notch in the belt!

We wrap up the 2010 season with a pair of finals with great storylines.
The Canadian Shield XI Finals
#4 Calgary Wranglers versus #3 Minnesota Loons
For those of you who have been counting at home...the defending champion Wranglers have come into the Finals on an 8 playoff game win streak. They seemingly have been the underdog during each of their title runs. For the second straight year the Shield Finals feature the third and fourth seeds. This is the Loons' fourth trip to the playoffs - they are the team to make it to the big dance the most. Unfortunately for the Loons, the Wranglers kept the streak alive and extended it to 12 games! Another sweep brings the Wranglers their third Shield. Their third title helps the Wranglers pass the Loons, Kingfishers, and Glaciers for the most titles in league history.
The 2010 Adams Cup Finals
#1 Boston Rovers versus #3 Los Angeles Titans
The Green and White from Boston, the Purple and Gold from Los Angeles. No not Magic, Kobe, Kareem, Wilt, West or Russell, Pierce, Bird, Havlicek. Instead you have Hull, Pronger, MacInnis, Turgeon versus Zubov, Modano, Hatcher, Belfour. Both teams are fighting it out to see who can tie the Founders for three titles to lead the AHA. The Rovers cruised winning in 5 games.
The AltHL sees a few fan favorites play their final games...
Grant Fuhr
Marty McSorley
Ed Olczyk (Halifax)
Guy Carbonneau (LA)
Bill Ranford (POR)
Wendel Clark (CGY) got to retire on top with back to back titles
Daren Puppa (the league's first GOY)

It's always fun to play "Our American Cousins." (Old theater joke, sorry.) A big thank you to the Loons and Terriers for some great series this year! Hmmm... 75% of our playoff appearances have turned into championships, and we still have only had one All-Star. If the oil money and championships keep rolling in, we might have to get a roof just so we have rafters in which to hang banners!

Tie? No no no, we now have 4 Adams cups to our names, we've got the most in the AHA. Also excuse me while I go hang a Fuhr jersey to the Rafters.

Damn, congrats to Calgary and Boston
That outdoor ice is just too much to handle in the playoffs

I'm sure the Wranglers would say it's worth every penny.

Just do what football does and put the retired numbers on the walls. Keep the uniqueness of your building my friend.
