Retired Numbers
South St. Paul has decided to retire team legend Anders Johansson's number 8 to the rafters of Wakota Arena. Johansson was a two time Tschida Award winner who nearly single handedly brought the Mavs to 5 straight playoff appearances from 1956-1960.
The Winnipeg Monarchs have retired the number 7 for all time. The decision was made to honor Greg Patrick, a Monarch for 6 years who helped lead Winnipeg to back to back Kellogg Cups in 65 and 66. Patrick was signed by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1967, becoming the first and only player in Monarch history (thus far) to reach the NHL. Patrick left the Flyers after winning the 1974 Stanley Cup, joining his home town team in the WHA, the Winnipeg Jets. Patrick was instrumental in helping guide the Jets to their first Avco World Trophy just a season ago. (With the Monarchs and Jets sharing a home arena, Patrick's name will hang in the rafters while playing for the Jets which I think is kinda funny)

All I can say about what happened in the Kellogg Cup finals is...the suburbs are cursed. Kinda of in a ColliWobbles sort of way.

Baker Bill really makes me love that team more, which is kind of hard to do considering they are a top 10 for me.
Eveleth is going to need a bigger wall.

The International Falls Ice are making their first uniform change in the teams 30 year history, simplifying their striping to 2 stripes to represent their 2 Kellogg Cups. The stripe below the shoulders is removed, number font is changed and numbers are added to sleeves, laces are added to the jersey, and stripes were added to the breezers. The Ice did not make any changes to their logos.

The Kenora Muskrats introduced a new and improved version of their KM monogram. The new logo is maize with a blue outline and drop shadow. They also introduced a new secondary logo of a Muskrat head, fans of the team are debating what to name their new "mascot" of sorts, let me know what you guys think would be a good name for him.
The Muskies introduced new uniforms to go with the new logo, the striping is slightly altered on the home and is drastically different on the away uniform which is completely new. The number font is adjusted to match the logo with a drop shadow and outline. The new secondary logo sits on the shoulders.

Little Falls updated their classic Pilots wings logo, ditching the Pilots script in favor of a cleaner look more like you would see on a real pilots wings, Little Falls is also added to the logo on the bottom.
The Pilots also adjusted their uniforms, changing up the striping, adding outlines to the numbers, and replacing the script Pilots with their new logo on the chest.

Very interesting how Little Falls' uniforms changed so little.
