Nashville Opry (I wanted to come up with a name that was related to country music and this was the best I could think of, in reference to the Grand Ole Opry)
Bronx Dynasty (The Yankees play in the Bronx and have won the World Series 27 times and have had many dynasties in their history)
Orlando Adventure (Named after the Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios)
Philadelphia Quakers (The earliest settlers in Philadelphia were Quakers, plus it can have a double meaning, say, "tackles so hard it causes Earthquakes")
Phoenix Criminals (There was a surge of crime in the city throughout the 60's and 70's, plus there is a Federal Correctional Institution within the city limits)
Portland Stumps (In reference to "Stumptown", one of the city nicknames)

Is there a reason my LA name didn’t make the poll?
I saw your post when you were bouncing between the two. Didn't see the second one. I added it.

New York Streets (arena team last year, loved the name).
Brooklyn Beat is good too
Brooklyn B-Boys
Brooklyn Blasters (music theme)
I would love a street theme.
I'd like a desert theme to Phoenix, like Dusk or Sandstorm. Colors magenta and sand.
That would be cool. Jay Z would be proud. Which of them did you want to nominate?

Nashville Smokies - Already said, but I love this as a name for Nashville
New York Rats - New York city has Rats and it's a unique name
Orlando Orange - Florida Oranges
Philadelphia Hearts - City of Brotherly Love
Arizona Roadrunners - Second this name, perfect for the location *beep beep*
Portland Steelheads - Steelhead Salmon are found in the PNW and I think it's a cool name

Not a big fan of the Reapers name. I'd rather have had Monarchs in this case, but whatever.
For Group C:
Nashville - Olympians. While it's close to "Titans", Nashville is known as "Athens of the South" and this name brings them even closer to that nickname.
New York - Emperors. Empire State, meet your rulers.
Orlando - Challengers. Named after the Space Shuttle, this name emphasizes Orlando's space-age style and honors those that sacrificed their lives in the name of scientific discovery.
Philadelphia - Pennsylvania Derricks. A Philadelphia team is going to represent the entire state, so it should emphasize Pennsylvania's history in oil. I was going to use Oilers but I think that wouldn't count as an NFL team.
Phoenix - Rays. References the rays of sun Phoenix and Arizona receive.
Portland - Roses. Nice and easy, Portland is known for its Roses.
You and me both *looks concerningly at Greenville*

Tennessee Copperheads: I want to say the Titans at one point nearly became the Tennessee Copperheads after their move from Houston. I say why not pull that trigger? (EDIT: Thanks for catching the spelling QCS)
New York Mammoths: Mostly a reference to the size of NYC with one of the largest animals ever.
Orlando Gators: Florida has gators, gators are deadly and I like 'em!
Philadelphia Americans: Philadelphia is our country's birthplace, so why not? (EDIT: Off my game today. Not sure how I forgot the Philadelphia Union existed...)
Arizona Spiders: As much as I hate them, Tarantulas are a potentally fun theme for a football team. Spiders is the better name though.
Portland Grizzlies: A good, strong name

Yeah, I raised that issue to Gritty. He's looking into it, not sure how it'll resolve.
EDIT: Stickman, is your Tennessee suggestion supposed to be Copperheads? Because I don't think a Cooperhead is a thing.

Philadelphia Union: A bit of a different name, not at all what you'd normally see in football. But Philly is where our nation was born, so why not?
That's the name of Philly's MLS team, so it's a no.

Nashville - Blades - Controversial pick, but the Grecian swords used by said Greeks, plus the teeth of sabertooths said to cut like blades (a fossil of a saber tooth was found under the buildings site of now Bridgestone Arena).
New York - Empire - Double down on this one from AltHL, the Empire State Building and the Empire known as Wall Street makes this name befitting.
Orlando - Galactics - The Space Center in Orlando, plus with Disney having Star Wars, let’s fly the Galaxies together.
Philadelphia - Brawlers - The amount of boxing movies and great boxers to come out of the City of Brotherly Love makes the name fit here just as well as Louisville
Phoenix - Saguaros - The saguaro cactus is everywhere in Phoenix, and are protected heavily in the state of Arizona.
Portland - Reds - The City of Roses is a nickname of Portland, and the most common color of the rose would make a fitting name for the team

I told him as long as the Carolina Reapers use the actual pepper as the main design inspiration, and not the Grim Reaper, I can live with the two teams coinciding.
Edit: Thanks for swooping in with my name idea for New York!
