He’s getting one last chance to learn from his mistakes.  I don’t see it happening. That man has trouble written all over him. Just hope he doesn’t cost Charlie Strong his job.

“2021 XFL Rookie Draft is Complete!”

October 22, 2020

New York, NY - The sixteen XFL teams sent representatives to New York to complete their rosters.  The XFL uses their Rookie draft to mostly draft players from their XFL2 developmental league.  The Rookie Draft consists of two rounds. The rookies consist of the undrafted guys from the NFL who also didn't make a practice squad so those players are more than likely headed to the XFL2 for the season.  Highlights from the first ever XFL Rookie Draft are:

San Antonio Commanders - QB Kyle Lauletta and DB Montae Nicholson
St. Louis Stallions - QB Will Grier and WR Carlos Henderson
San Diego Fleet - RB Paul Perkins and WR DeMarkus Lodge
Orlando Predators - WR Ardarius Stewart and LB Hardy Nickerson Jr.
Birmingham Iron - RB Zach Zenner and WR Saeed Blacknall
Washington Valor - TE Evan Rodriguez
Los Angeles Xtreme - QB Chad Kelly
Las Vegas Outlaws - RB Kapri Bibbs and TE EJ Bibbs
Houston Roughnecks - WR Justice Liggins
Tampa Bay Storm - WRs Bennie Fowler and Jordan Taylor

“Final Touches to the Rosters are Complete!”

November 2, 2020

Stamford, CT - XFL teams make late roster additions before players take to the practice fields next month.  Some big names were still out there who just filed their XFL paperwork.  These late roster additions could play huge dividends this season for some of these teams.

San Diego Fleet sign WR Tavon Austin, RBs Isaiah Crowell and Bishop Sankey, LB Mychal Kendricks and DB Trumaine Johnson
Washington Valor sign RB Orleans Darkwa
Seattle Dragons sign RB CJ Prosise
Orlando Predators sign QB Connor Cook and RB Spencer Ware
Las Vegas Outlaws sign RB Alex Collins
New York Guardians sign RB Ty Montgomery and FB Tre Madden
Memphis Express sign RB Zac Stacy
Los Angeles Xtreme sign WR LaQuon Treadwell
Dallas Renegades sign WR Dez Bryant
Philadelphia Soul sign WR/QB Terrelle Pryor
San Antonio Commanders sign LB Deone Buchanon

“Teams Take to the Practice Field!”

December 2, 2020

Stamford, CT - XFL teams begins practice next week but they're not the only teams that are about to begin practice.  The XFL2's Hudson Valley Fort, Austin Generals and Las Vegas Hughes will also begin practicing.  Those roster invites were sent out late last week and include QBs Brett Rypien, Trevor Knight, Phillip Nelson, Brandon Silvers, Taylor Heinicke and Joe Callahan, RBs Mark Walton, Marcus Murphy, Jacques Patrick, Elijah Hood, Rushel Shell and Elijah Holyfield and WRs Kasen Williams, Adonis Jennings, Malachi Dupree, Marcus Johnson, and Alonzo Russell and TEs Ben Koyack, Marcus Baugh and Moritz Boehringer.

Re: XFL 2020

“Your 2021 San Antonio Commanders!”

January 1, 2021

San Antonio, SA - This is our preview for your 2021 San Antonio Commanders.

2020 Recap: After a 1-3 start, JT Barrett replaced Tom Savage in the starting line-up and led the Commanders to the Western Division championship game where they lost to the San Diego Fleet, 20-10.  San Antonio rode RB Jeremy Hill, the league's 6th ranked rusher and a strong defense for the majority of the season.

2021 Roster: QBs JT Barrett and Kyle Lauletta, RBs Jeremy Hill and Trey Williams, WRs Jalin Marshall, Devin Smith, Greg Ward and MeKale McKay, TE Orson Charles, OL Russell Bodine, Desmond Harrison, Tyler Marz and Derwin Gray, DL Bronson Kaufausi and Robert Nkemdiche, LBs Shane Ray, Deone Buchanon and Mason Foster, and DBs Derron Smith and Montae Nicholson and K Nick Rose

2021 Preview: Marvin Lewis and company bring back their entire core and looks to build on that end of the season success.  The Commanders have the league's best set of Linebackers, and with those athletic Defensive Ends up front, they don't allow their opponents running game to get started.  The Commanders will likely be a very conservative team again this season leaning on that defense and the running game but Barrett's improvement on his downfield accuracy will determine how far they go.

“Your 2021 Dallas Renegades!”

January 1, 2021

Dallas, TX - This is our preview for your 2021 Dallas Renegades.

2020 Recap: Starting QB Landry Jones just couldn't stay healthy last year, but when he played, Dallas was one of the most dangerous teams in the league.  With Landry under center the team was 2-1 in the regular season and put a real scare into the first seeded San Diego Fleet in the first round before falling, 16-13.  Cameron Artis-Payne along with Lance Dunbar form a great 1-2 punch for the Renegades as Artis-Payne, the league's #2 rusher, gets it done on the ground and Dunbar through the air.

2021 Roster: QBs Landry Jones and Dalton Sturm, RBs Cameron Artis-Payne and Lance Dunbar, WRs Dez Bryant, Jazz Feguson, Jeff Badet, Jeff Janis, Davaris Daniels and L'Damien Washington, TEs Donald Parham and Gavin Escobar, OL Vadal Alexander, Pace Murphy and Joseph Barksdale, DL Ziggy Hood and Jay Bromley, and LBs Tim Williams, Frank Alexander and Tegray Scales, DBs Josh Hawkins, Tyree Kinnel, and D'Montre Wade, and K Austin MacGinnis

2021 Preview: How far this team goes this season may come down to how well they can stay healthy.  Newly signed Wide Receiver Dez Bryant, had been battling injuries his last few seasons in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, and he can't help this youthful and inexperienced receiving corps if he's inactive.  Landry is in the same boat.  TE Donald Parham and WR Davaris Daniels may be two of the best young weapons in the league, but backup QB Dalton Sturm doesn't have the ability to get them the football.  Head Coach Bob Stoops should have added a backup QB in the offseason and failing to do so may cost him.

“Your 2021 Houston Roughnecks!”

January 1, 2021

Houston, TX - This is our preview for your 2021 Houston Roughnecks.

2020 Recap: Starting Quarterback Brock Osweiler finished the year fifth in yards but his 6 TDs and 6 INTs wasn't what the ownership wanted to see out of the veteran.  The Roughnecks fell 23-19 in the first round of the playoffs to the St. Louis Stallions and turnovers were once again the problem.  NFL veterans Roger Lewis and Terrence Williams were a major disapointment and were released in the offseason. The team wasn't able to stretch the field vertically or horizontally which led to a lot of those turnovers.

2021 Roster: QBs Brock Osweiler and John Wolford, RBs D'Onta Freeman and Alfred Blue, WRs Jaelen Strong, Justice Liggins, Markus Wheaton and Brandon Coleman, TE Rico Gathers, OL Dieugot Joseph, Avery Gennesy, and Josh LeRibeus, DL Trenton Thompson and Kony Ealy, LBs Su'a Cravens, LaTroy Lewis and Malik Jefferson, and DB Kendrick Lewis and K Sergio Castillo

2021 Preview: Head Coach Wade Phillips returns Osweiler and a solid RB tandem of Freeman and Blue, but if newly acquired Markus Wheaton and rookie Justice Liggins can't add a much needed speed element to the offense this team will spend another year as an average football team.  The defense is young and fast, and they love to create turnovers but the offense wasn't able to take advantage in 2020.  Osweiler has always been a QB who takes chances and that won't be changing so it'll come down to whether or not those playmakers on the outside can make it happen.

“Your 2021 St. Louis Stallions!”

January 1, 2021

St. Louis, MO - This is our preview for your 2021 St. Louis Stallions.

2020 Recap: Last year's starting QB Ryan Mallett was the league's leading passer with 1300 yards and he led the Stallions to the Eastern Division championship game with a 5-1 regular season record before falling 21-17 to the eventual XFL Champions, the Birmingham Iron.  Mallett used that great season to get himself another chance at the NFL, but the Stallions do return his top receiver, Kevin White, who finished 4th in receiving yards.

2021 Roster: QBs Jordan Ta'amu and Will Grier, RBs Christine Michael and Matt Jones, WRs Kevin White, Carlos Henderson, De'Mornay Pierson-El and Kenny Bell, TE Marqueis Gray, OL Willie Beavers, Storm Norton, Jake Campos and David Quessenberry, DL Vincent Valentine, Will Clarke, Channing Ward and Hau'oli Kikaha, LBs Paul Dawson, Dexter McCoil and Zach Vigil and DBs Will Hill, David Amerson, and Robert Nelson, P Marquette King and K Brett Maher

2021 Preview: 2020 Coach of the Year Johnathon Hayes will turn to unproven Jordan Ta'amu under center for 2021.  Ta'amu doesn't have much experience but he has Hayes' faith.  The coach believes the team will have to win their games differently this year as Ta'amu brings great mobility to the position but doesn't quite have the accuracy of the departed Mallett.  Good thing this team has speed to spare in the receiving corps and a very good tandem of NFL veterans at Running back who got the job done last year.  The defense is also a very balanced unit in all three facets.  This may be the most complete team in the XFL but it'll all come down to one of those two young Quarterbacks to step up.

Re: XFL 2020

“Your 2021 San Diego Fleet!”

January 1, 2021

San Diego, CA - This is our preview for your 2021 San Diego Fleet.

2020 Recap: Starting Quarterback Josh Johnson threw for a league best, 11 TDs, and 1208 yards in 6 games last year, while league Most Valuable Player Jay Ajayi ran for 711 yards and 8 TDs, and Martavis Bryant caught 3 TDs and 381 yards, good for second in the league as the team rolled to an undefeated regular season record of 6-0.  The Fleet made it all the way to the XFL Championship game before falling to the Birmingham Iron 28-24.

2021 Roster: QBs Cody Kessler and Brad Kaaya, RBs Paul Perkins, Bishop Sankey and Isaiah Crowell and WRs Tavon Austin, DeMarkus Lodge, Teo Redding and Malachi Jones, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, OL Kyle Murphy and Ryan Pope, DL Willie Henry, Adolphus Washington and Karter Schult, LB James Vaughters and Mychal Kendricks, DBs Trumaine Johnson and Shamarko Thomas and K Nick Novak

2021 Preview: Head Coach Mike Martz had the most talented team in the league last year, but that's not the case this year as Josh Johnson, Jay Ajayi, Brandon Oliver and Martavis Bryant all took big pay days in other leagues.  Martz added quite a bit of talent this offseason but the chemistry and veteran leadership that team had will be hard to replace.  Cody Kessler and Tavon Austin will struggle to learn his complicated offense and this team will struggle early on.

“Your 2021 Seattle Dragons!”

January 1, 2021

Seattle, WA - This is our preview for your 2021 Seattle Dragons.

2020 Recap: This team was never as good as the statistics and roster would suggest in 2020. Lynch finished 4th in passing yards, Rawls finished 5th in rushing yards and Antonio Callaway finished first in receiving yards.  The defense is absolutely loaded with speed all over the field.  The secondary however gave up a lot of big plays.  This team I think was hurt most by the shortened season and ended up missing the playoffs at 2-4.

2021 Roster: QBs Paxton Lynch and BJ Daniels, RBs Thomas Rawls and CJ Prosise, WRs Antonio Callaway, Marlon Brown, Keenan Reynolds and Marquess Wilson, TE Asante Cleveland, OL Isiah Battle, Cyril Richardson and Josh Garnett, DL Dion Jordan, Will Sutton and Obum Gwacham, LB Steven Johnson, Korey Toomer, Scooby Wright and Marquis Flowers, DBs Channing Stribling and Jeremy Clark and K Elliott Fry

2021 Preview: General Manager Phil Savage has done a great job with this roster by keeping it intact while also adding former Seattle Seahawk starting RB CJ Prosise.  Head Coach Jim Zorn needs to do a better job at running this offense through those RBs.  Lynch has great weapons to use but he forces too many throws and this team just needs to remain patient.  Too much talent for the Dragons not to make a playoff appearance in 2021.

“Your 2021 Los Angeles Xtreme!”

January 1, 2021

Los Angeles, CA - This is our preview for your 2021 Los Angeles Xtreme.

2020 Recap: The original XFL's only Champion, the Los Angeles Xtreme entered the season with a solid QB depth chart on paper but it was anything but with Aaron Murray and Connor Cook. Neither team could find a rhythm and the team finished with a 1-5 regular season record.  Former San Diego Charger Kenneth Farrow was a huge bright spot for the team however as he finished 3rd in rushing with 564 yards, and backfield mate David Cobb was also tremendous.

2021 Roster: QBs Colin Kaepernick and Chad Kelly, RBs Kenneth Farrow and David Cobb, WRs Rashad Greene, Nelson Spruce, Tre McBride and LaQuon Treadwell, TE Brandon Barnes, OL Damien Mama, Shawn Lauvao, Kahlil McKenzie, Damien Prince and Christian Westerman, DL Kenny Bigelow, Shawn Oakman, Devin Taylor and Datone Jones, LBs Ejuan Price, Victor Ochi and Taiwan Jones and DBs Harlan Miller, TJ McDonald, Ahmad Dixon, and Jack Tocho and K Giorgio Tavecchio

2021 Preview: New Xtreme owner Steve Ballmer made an instant splash this offseason with the league's biggest acquisition in QB Colin Kaepernick.  Kaepernick should be a starting QB in the NFL this season but instead he will be turning around the Xtreme.  LaQuon Treadwell will give him a legitimate #1 option in the air and expect Farrow and Cobb to be a solid cobination on the ground.  Kaepernick, Treadwell, those RBs and that OL will make the Xtreme the best offense in the league and have Los Angeles as the preseason favorite to win it all.

“Your 2021 Las Vegas Outlaws!”

January 1, 2021

Las Vegas, NV - This is our preview for your 2021 Las Vegas Outlaws.

2020 Recap: Johnny Manziel was absolutely amazing in getting this team off to a 3-0 start to the season but then once again, he let his inner demons lead to a downfall of this squad.  Head Coach June Jones had to cut the troubled signal caller and the team never quite rallied behind young PJ Walker.  The team ended up getting blown out by the underdog San Antonio Commanders in the first round of the playoofs.

2021 Roster: QBs PJ Walker and Clayton Thorson, RBs Kapri Bibbs, Alex Collins and Darius Victor, WRs Cam Phillips, Sammie Coates, Kahlil Lewis and Nick Holley, TEs EJ Bibbs and Nick Truesdell, OL TJ Johnson, Nico Siragusa and Derek Newton, LBs Edmond Robinson, Deshaun Davis and DeMarquis Gates, DB Deatrick Nichols and K Johnathon Brown

2021 Preview: This team has some nice pieces on offense to work with but PJ Walker did not look to be the answer at the most important position on the field.  Thorson isn't the answer either.  This team will need to go out and find a solution to that problem next offseason.  It should be a lost year for the Outlaws.

Defensive players?  These rosters are 50 man rosters but I won’t be naming all 50 guys on every roster. Mostly because I don’t know that many OL and Defensive players to do so haha. I’ll just name the more commonly know guys. Hope that answered your question

There is one DFP for each team that doesn’t count against the team’s $4M salary cap. They can be paid whatever the owner wants to pay them. For all teams, except Orlando that player is currently their QB.
