Re: AltLB - 2026 Season

With a win over the Pros, the Bison punch our fifth consecutive trip to the playoffs. We're not able to lock up the top seed, so now we look to get the 2 seed an a first round home advantage, and control our own destiny on that front if we can win out. The first stop on that is in Los Angeles against a scrappy Condors team that is fighting for the final playoff spot. We head on the road in the navy uniforms, and are featuring Tyler Mahle, who despite being signed off the street just a week ago, pitched a gem against the Pros going 6 innings, striking out 7, and only allowing one earned run to notch the win and quality start. #WeAreOK

Re: AltLB - 2026 Season

It was a rough beginning with most of our big contributors on the IL against the Turtles, but we pulled out in the end and clinched the top seed in the AL in the playoffs. We could coast with the remaining few games, but we have to keep up the pace if we don't want to make an early playoff exit. We head back home to face the Talons, and we'll need the arm of all-star SP Sonny Gray, who may have only gone 1-1 in his two starts last week, but struck out 11 batters over 13 IP while only allowing 2 earned runs across both starts for 2 quality starts. #RideTheLightning

Re: AltLB - 2026 Season

Well if that was a postseason preview, then fans have a lot to look forward to. Las Vegas and Boston duked it out all week, and it went back and forth until the very last inning, when Michael Harris II hit a walkoff homer to win it for the Atoms. That helps us stay a game ahead of the Saints for the top spot in the NL, and we'll need that breathing room as we hit the road for our final two games of the season. The first of those comes in Oklahoma City, where the Bison have climbed up to the second seed in the AL. This will be a huge game for both teams, and it might also be a World Series preview if history is any indication. While Harris is obviously a leading candidate for player of the game, we'd be remiss if we went the whole regular season without spotlighting 3B Eugenio Suárez. Geno's numbers might not pop off the page, going just 5-21 with a double being his lone extra base hit, but he managed to get on base an additional 8 times, with 7 walks and a hit by pitch. #UpAndAtom

Re: AltLB - 2026 Season

We dispatched the Talons despite our injury woes, and now we hit the road one last time before the playoffs to take on the Blackbirds, who desperately need a win against us to stay in the playoff race for the NL. Thanks to the plethora of fielders injured at the moment, we're featuring rookie phenom Joshua Baez, who made quite the entry with a 3 home run performance in his debut game but has cooled off significantly since then. Since that stellar debut, he's managed to hit another homer as well as netting 4 RBI's, 3 stolen bases, and drew 3 walks to keep himself in the starting lineup. #RideTheLightning

Re: AltLB - 2026 Season

Following week 21, we have just two weeks until the playoffs, and things have become more clear.

First, both Detroit and Montreal punched their tickets to the playoffs with their wins over Tampa Bay and Oakland respectively.

On the flip side, the only team that could be eliminated last week was Seattle, and with their loss to New York have also been eliminated.

This leaves ten teams fighting for eight spots, and 5 already claimed.

We'll start in the A.L. where there's one spot remaining, and Milwaukee and Los Angeles are battling for that spot. With a two game difference, Los Angeles needs to win out and have Milwaukee lose out. Importantly, they play one another this week in Los Angeles.

As far as seeding goes, Arizona has clinched the top spot. Oklahoma City will finish as the second or third seed. Detroit will fall between the second and fourth seed, with a win over the Masons in Boston or a Muskies loss to the Condors ensuring they finish in second or third.

In the N.L., the top two seeds will be Las Vegas or Montreal. Las Vegas has the tiebreaker on Montreal and a one game advantage, so the Atoms can clinch the top seed with a win over the Bison in Oklahoma City or a Saints loss at home to the Cubans.

San Diego is in a good spot, with two games on Boston and the tiebreaker. However, with New York also in there, the Pandas still could be in a three way tie and miss the playoffs. They can guarantee their playoff spot with a win this week in Oakland against the Squirrels or a loss by either NEw York at home against the Thunderbirds or by Boston at home against Detroit.

New York and Boston will meet up in Week 23, so this week New York can lock up a playoff spot only with a win AND a Boston loss. As previously mentions, the Blackbirds will at home against the Thunderbirds and the Masons are at home against the Deacons.

Re: AltLB - 2026 Season

With the win over the Condors, we're locked into the second or third seed in the A.L. for the playoffs. The question now is will we be at home, in Detroit, or in Milwaukee? We have an advantage here: we control our own path, and it's all right here in OKC, as we close out the regular season at home for the final two games. The first of those is the Atoms coming to town. The stakes are high here, with the Atoms looking to lock up the top seed in the N.L. as well. We'll be in the standard home uniforms for this one, and are featuring starting pitcher Blake Snell, who has been stellar since his return from the IL, going 12 innings against the Condors, striking out 11 while only allowing a single earned run to notch 2 wins and 2 quality starts. #WeAreOK
