Re: World Baseball Softball Confederation by Sky

I think I do prefer the stripe on pakistan but at the same time it does kinda feel like it's missing something? not sure how to resolve this one

I like chile quite a bit. the script is really nice, and while I do like the placket striping, I think I prefer the thicker striping just because it uses a little bit more blue

czechia's new look is great, although it's pretty funny that they decided to be twins with the twins. I think it'd be better with white instead of cream, but I also think some teams should use cream, so I'd say that's a net positive

that slovakia script is really nice. I'm not a huge fan of the huge flag stripes on the sleeves; I do think it kinda works on the white but it looks kinda weird on the blue. the coat of arms on the chest is a nice touch that really makes it feel like slovakia imo

I wouldn't have expected benin to just be green and white but they look great here! that script is fantastic and the pins are a great way to go. definitely a sleeper fav for me

The kelly green is really nice. I don't have any complaints about this one, it's simple, clean and no frills.

Thanks! Benin is one of my favorite sets. The simplicity combined with the kelly green really works for me.

Thanks! Yeah I think Pakistan would require seeing this stuff IRL to determine a proper direction. Agreed on Slovakia, but they were one of the last teams I did, and I was running out of ideas, to tell the truth. And I'm glad you like Benin! Like I said, they were a favorite of mine as well.

IRAN

Iran's baseball team uses lots of red and touches of black for a look that, to be honest, doesn't stand out. I've kept the bones of the look, but decided to use the green from the flag as the accent color at the behest of a friend who was tired of all the red and black teams I had, haha. A dynamic italic font anchors the whole set.

AFGHANISTAN

Afghanistan's baseball team, like their more popular cricket team, use light blue as their primary color. I was mostly inspired by the Arab Baseball Classic set, including this awesome cap logo with the colors of the (now former) Afghan flag as the crossbar of the A. I went a little out-there with the jerseys, going for all-blue trim at home with four thin stripes, and then the flag colors on the sleeves of the road jerseys.Β

SOUTH SUDAN

South Sudan is the newest country on our list, achieving independence in 2011. They have an extremely out-there jersey, using every color of the South Sudanese flag for an eye-catching look. My struggle was adapting this look onto a white jersey, and I eventually settled on a blue script with yellow numbers outlined in red. Repping his country is Joseph Deng, the first South Sudanese baseball player to sign a professional contract, joining the Dodgers organization in 2025.Β

Re: World Baseball Softball Confederation by Sky

the font on iran is really nice and makes for a solid set without much of a need for anything else. my only issue with it is it doesn't make for an interesting cap logo, but there are only so many ways you can design an I. the other gripe with this set is that the road has so little green on it, which I understand why you did but it still feels unsatisfying. would it look weird if you did green front numbers (and maybe nobs too) with a white outline? or would that mess with the vibes too much

afghanistan is solid, and I like the asymmetry on the jerseys. I just almost wish you'd either left the flag colors off (would they still use them under the new regime? actually let's maybe not get too into that) or committed to using them more so that they look a little less like the other light blue and white teams. or maybe just use the green with the light blue? that'd make for a pretty unique scheme internationally afaik. either way, definitely a nice set as it stands

man, south sudan is a wild look! I think it kinda works, especially for literally the youngest country out there. the colorfulness of the jersey does make the hat look a little dry in comparison; maybe adding some blue to the brim or something would help the colors on the home feel a little more balanced. this looks like it would've been a tricky one to design, so well done

Thanks! Here's Iran with more green on the road. I think I prefer the clean vibes of my original design but I totally get wanting more green here.

Afghanistan is a tricky one. I think theyΒ wouldΒ use the tricolor? My set was mostly based on the one used in Baseball United's Arab Classic, where they used the old flag and the tricolor in the logo. Here's a set with more green:

Great shout on adding blue to South Sudan's cap. It looks much better.

HUNGARY

For Hungary's team, I was inspired by this set from 2022. The red sleeves forming the Hungarian flag with the sleeve stripes really clicked and made for a unique look for the team. I opted for a very modern, thick wordmark to further set the team apart from its European neighbors.
