We will finish off in the Twin Cities Hockey Association where three teams introduced changes.
Minneapolis Millers
The third club to adopt an official nickname are the defending champion Mill City Hockey Club who will henceforth be known as the “Minneapolis Millers”. The team had been referred to as the Millers for years, shortening the full club name for convenience and referencing the baseball team that they share a home with. Despite sharing a name and a home venue there is no official affiliation between the American Association baseball club and the hockey club. The hockey team adopted a new logo to reflect their name change, dropping the C and beefing up the M of their previous logo a tad.

There was no way the club could abandon their iconic white, but changes were due after two decades without touching their look. Their sweaters remain solid white aside from their logo and numbers with the club's new M logo moved to the center of the chest and slightly enlarged. The biggest change besides the new logo is the addition of two burnt orange stripes on the socks.

Some big changes! Of the expansion teams, Buffalo is my favorite. I do like Orono as well, that big ol' O and orange and black color scheme lend themselves nicely to an Orioles nickname. I'm excited to see teams adopt nicknames officially as well! I'll be eagerly awaiting the Waspies making it official. St. Paul Athletic has taken it for my favorite MAHL logo, that new roundel is excellent.

Team nicknames! A long freaking last! Man, I was wondering when will the teams start adopting nicknames instead of *Place Name* HC. Hopefully, they'll be more teams following the trend that Soudan, Mill City, and St. Paul had started.

St. Paul Athletic Club
Despite being another club with a de facto nickname, the Saints have decided to keep the St. Paul Athletic Club name for the team. That said, they did make a big change this offseason when they introduced a new logo and uniform. The new logo is a roundel featuring the team name spelt out in full split half white and half red with a winged foot behind. This is the new official logo of the St. Paul Athletic Club in all capacities, not just the hockey club.
Their new uniforms put the new club crest front and center on a simplified version of their previous red jersey with just one white stripe on the sleeves and socks.

Finally we have the other club in downtown St. Paul, the Phoenix Athletic Club who are officially rebranding as the St. Paul Phoenix. The Phoenix Club has worn sweaters with “St. Paul” on the front since 1911 but decided to add it to their official name once clubs like Soudan, Duluth, and the Millers announced their name changes. The club kept their logo the same but changed their primary color from red to burgundy in an attempt to distance themselves from the Athletic Club and their red and white.
Their new uniforms are primarily burgundy with a gold stripe on the sleeves and red chest stripe containing the “St. Paul” text in their logo with the Winged P sitting above the stripe. The gold stripe on the socks is also removed in favor of solid burgundy.

You know, I remember back in the first run of the MAHL, there was a club called the Twin Cities Vulcans that was made by a guy who fell out with the St. Paul Athletic Club, and made the Vulcans to be the opposite of the St.Paul Athletic CLub team in every way. Any word on if that's coming back?

The history will be a little different this time around but the Vulcans will definitely be a thing!
