With a very disappointing result last week against Sydney, we head into the final game of the GEO Cup, welcoming CF Federal to The Pyramid. With a win we can at least finish at .500 for the GEO Cup before the game off for the GEO Cup Finals. Despite the poor showing last week, Cristian Romero was the bright spot and gets the feature this week. #TheGoldStandard

After a brief break in posting, we're back after clinching the World Group and now just await this week's results to see who we will be playing. Even though we don't really have much to play for, we still will play host to Independencia for the final match in group play. Feature for us for the first time in a long time is our captain, midfielder Martin Ødegaard, who assisted once to go with five shots (two on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and created three chances in our last match against Amsterdam. 

We narrowly beat Independencia to stay undefeated in GEO Cup play, and we have to take that momentum into Turkey to take on Inter Istanbul for the GEO Cup title. We're dealing with injured players left and right, so even though we might not have our top lineup we'll still give it our all. Featured for this important match is F Evanilson, who scored his third goal on the year on two shots after missing most of the last two months as a substitute, though missing players allowed him to get back into the starting 11. 

We came up just short against Istanbul to reclaim the GEO Cup in the final, so we'll have to get into the playoffs like everyone else. We'll need the momentum from cup play to carry over into the second half of the season, starting with an away match against Roma. Our starting lineup gets a minor shakeup due to injuries and the like, so we've been relying on midfielder Vitaly Janelt, who assisted once to go with four crosses (zero accurate) and four corners in our last matchup against Istanbul. 

Coming out of the GEO Cup, we started on the road with a matchup with CF Federal. The Quetzels appeared to forget to come back from the break, giving us a big win to maintain our spot at the top of the table. Next on the schedule is another road game, and we head to Turkey to take on Inter Istanbul. They've already locked up a playoff spot with their GEO Cup win, so hopefully they'll take it easy for this one to maintain their health. We'll be in the clash kit for this one and feature defenseman Milos Kerkez, who after a rough start to the season is coming on now. #TheGoldStandard
