Week 6 - New York Gargoyles (0-5) at Chicago Ghosts (4-1)
Things are not looking well in New York as the Gargoyles drop another game and start see their season slip in just November. The team has a lot of questions on who will step up to lead this franchise and they will look for that this week as they head to Chicago to take on a strong Chicago team. The Gargoyles are hoping Troy Terry can stay hot and get some support from other players to help New York secure their first win.

The Wildcats picked up another win in Montréal to stay glued right behind Portland at the top of the standings. We stay on the road, but we're closer to home this week, as we find ourselves in Denver to face the Bighorns. The Horns have been by far the worst team in the AltHL this season, as they're still searching for their first win while every other team is kilometres ahead of them in scoring. We need to make sure to avoid what would be an embarrassing loss, but that shouldn't be a problem if C/W Jack Roslovic is in the lineup. The Ohioan forward scored 3 goals, assisted on 3 others, and finished a +5 against the Chevs. Surprisingly, two of his three goals were overtime winners; don't ask me how that works, I'm bad at math. #WhatTeam #RallyCats

Following a big win last week at home over the Rovers, the 48ers are starting to get back on track to where they were last season. Next up, our first division game, as we head to Detroit to take on the Angels. We look to keep the scoring up as we also keep that physical play that the people of Milwaukee love. As we're on the road for this one, we'll be in that ivory set. And featured this week is Artemi Panarin, who after an abysmal start to the season, was electric last week with a pair of goals and five assists, which led to two power play points and a +3 on the week. #AnotherRound #ShotsOnUs

The Wildcats kept it rolling with another win, this time over the Denver Bighorns. Even better, Portland lost, meaning we move back into the top spot in the league thanks to a three-way tiebreaker with them and Toronto. As a reward, we get to head back home for a couple weeks, and for this one, we take on the Halifax Kingfishers. The Fishers are riding high off a close win over Ottawa, so they'll have some momentum rolling into Edmonton. Speaking of momentum, W Jake Guentzel is coming off a four-goal, one-assist week, including a hat trick on Tuesday. #WhatTeam #RallyCats

Edmonton stayed hot at home, defeating Halifax to reach a 7-1 record on the season. We finish up our quick two-game homestand with a game against the Boston Rovers. Boston has been sliding as of late, as they're on a three-game losing streak that they're surely itching to end, so we'll have to bring our A game. W Timo Meier certainly was on his A game against the Kingfishers, scoring 3 goals and 3 assists to go along with a whopping 17 hits. #WhatTeam #RallyCats

The Wildcats soundly defeated the Rovers to stay tied with Toronto at the top of the standings. We now get back on the road and head to Anchorage to take on the Alaska Auroras. The Auroras are already off to a rough start to the year, and with Andrei Vasilevskiy being put on IR, things aren't exactly looking up for them. On the contrary, they are looking up for Edmonton D Josh Manson. Manson was the first star of our game against Boston after he racked up 2 assists, 6 blocks, and an eye-popping 18 hits. #WhatTeam #RallyCats

A win last week over the Gargoyles and a loss by the Terriers pulls us a game back on Toronto in the division with a week until we meet up for the first time. But we can't look at that game too much when division rivals Charlotte are in our way. We got the win over them on our ice a few weeks back by 0.1 point, so we're looking for a season sweep, and hopefully a bit more breathing room in the matchup. As we're on the road, we're in the ivory set for this one, and featuring one of the 48ers defensemen Simon trio, Simon Edvinson! #AnotherRound #ShotsOnUs

The Auroras' offense was hot, the Wildcats' offense was cold, and Edmonton has taken their second loss of the season. Fortunately, the Terriers also lost, letting us hold onto a share of the league lead. We also remain on top of the West thanks to a loss by our next opponent, the Portland Sawblades. The Blades handed us our first loss back in Week 4, so we're playing for revenge and they're playing for a season sweep and the division lead. D Jackson LaCombe earns a spot on the graphic as one of our only goalscorers against Alaska, adding an assist, 4 hits, and a team-high 9 blocks. #WhatTeam #RallyCats

It sure got dicey there at the end, but the Wildcats hung on against the Sawblades to earn a split against Portland and move to 9-2 on the season. With Toronto losing their second in a row, Edmonton now sits alone atop the AltHL standings. We certainly can't get complacent, as there are a whopping six teams sitting just a game below us and waiting to take advantage if we stumble. Our next opportunity for that will be against the Racers, and while they sit at just 3-8 on the year, so do the Auroras, who we just lost to, so we can't exactly sit this one out. D Justin Faulk has been on a heater lately, with two goals, an assist, and eight blocks against Portland. #WhatTeam #RallyCats
