Well, that was closer than I expected, but we managed to hold off the surging Deacons to return to the AltSeries to take on the Las Vegas Atoms. We look to lock up a second AltLB Championship at home in OKC, as the Bison hope to hostilely welcome the Atoms to Cox Ballpark. We'll be in the cream uniforms here at home, as we feature September callup Daylen Lile, who paced our offense last week. #WeAreOK

Following the season where we walked away with a championship with our interim manager due to the passing of manager Ryne Sandberg we will officially be retiring Ryne's #23 he wore in his playing days as well as while managing the Bison to their first championship.

As such, we thank Robin Ventura for stepping in as interim manager, but have decided to go another direction with our manager hire and move Robin into a front office role, also opening our hitting coach position. Firstly, I want to make it very clear that Greg Maddux will return as our pitching coach in 2026.

Coming off his retirement from his playing days following the 2023 season with a career with a .306 average, 3174 hits, 511 home runs, and 1881 RBI, our new Hitting Coach will be former Mexico City Jaguar first baseman Miguel Cabrera!

Our new manager retired from playing following the 2024 season where he played for the Los Angeles Condors, helped lead the Dallas Sidewinders to their long awaited championship in 2016. At 36 he'll be the youngest manager in AltLB next season, as of right now. Ladies, gentlemen and everyone who doesn't fall neatly into those categories, please welcome the Bison's new manager, Anthony Rizzo!
