Our offense had another big game, giving us the road win against les Patriotes and giving us our first 3-0 start in school history. We'll have to travel literally across the continent to fight to stay undefeated against the de facto Super West champion Hawaii State. They are quite literally the team to beat, and if we want any chance of becoming conference champions we'll have to win this one on the road. Feature for this week is sophomore RB Ahmad Hardy, who could not be stopped last week as he rushed for 250 yards on 22 carries and found the endzone three times. We'll be wearing some alternate away duds for this week, going green-white-green for a revived conference matchup.

If we're getting in front of things with the Emperors, we'll do so for the Hawks as well! Following a disappointing loss at home to the Stegos, which I can only assume was because our freshman quarterback was confused about both teams wearing white, we remain at home for a non-conference showdown with the 29ers of Wichita A&M. Clearly we have confusion on our side, as they have no idea what a "beach" is, and our stadium is still on the beachfront. It looked dicey for a bit there, with the Violets ahead by as many as 45 points, but Johns Island pulled off the comeback to stay undefeated. In fact, we're now one of only two 4-0 teams in the nation, with the other being SoCo, whom we play later this year. For now, though, we've got an even more important game on the docket, as the Angels host the Holy War against the St. Brendan's Navigators. The Navs were undefeated until falling to St. Laurent last week, so this should be a good one. Naturally, we're wearing the Holy White set to force the boys from Boston to dust off the teal unis, and featured alongside them is WR Cade Harris. The Utah native didn't find the end zone against Chicago Tech, but he led the team with 179 receiving yards, and also added 15 more on the ground. #HadMeAtHalo

With another win in the Holy War, the Johns Island Angels move to 5-0 and have an opportunity to clinch a spot in a bowl game with a win here. With that on the line, we head to the heart of the American South - Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - to face Lake Country Tech. The Raccoons have gotten off to a rough start in their first season at the AltCAA level, as they sit at 1-4 with a tough hill to climb if they want to compete for a bowl. Our spotlight for the midway point in the season is shined on RB J'Mari Taylor, who joined the team as a grad student this summer. Taylor was the main focal point in our rushing attack against St. Brendan's, racking up 99 yards and a score on the ground plus an additional 16 through the air. #HadMeAtHalo #TheMatterIsSimplyOfGreaterImportance
