The Atoms opened the second half with a dominant win over the Colts, opening up a huge lead and never looking back. No time to dwell on that, though, as we've got the most important stretch of the season upon us, with two of our next three games coming against the Boston Masons. Boston is just two games behind us in the standings, so this is an opportunity for them to tie the race up, or an opportunity for us to all but put things away. For the third straight week, we're featuring an outfielder, as OF Ramón Laureano hit three homers and drove in 08 runs against Kansas City. #GoldBars

It seems as if our former home in the AL is our kryptonite, as Detroit got the upper hand in a barn burner and handed us our second loss on the year. We'll have a chance to rebound in a battle of the birds in Los Angeles, as the Condors are a game out of the playoffs at the moment and are looking to earn their way back in a very tight race. Featured for this week is RP Anthony Bender, who slotted in incredibly in our very thin bullpen, earning a save and 3 holds in 5 IP and 5 K's without allowing a single run. #Thunderstruck

A win over the Griffins and a loss by the Thunderbirds puts us 2 games up for the top seed in the AltLB Playoffs, and this week we face the Detroit Deacons. We can lock up the American League with a win this week, as it would put us 5 games up on the Deacons with 5 left to play and the season sweep in hand. It won't be easy however, as the Deacons have been lighting up the scoreboard of late. We'll be on the road and in our standard khaki road uniforms, and are featuring relief pitcher Edwin Diaz, who went 4.2 innings, striking out 9, and pulling in a win AND 4 saves. #WeAreOK
