1900/01
The only news this offseason was the Red River Hockey League expanding their season to an 18 game schedule, playing three games against every other club in the league. We also had four new clubs form; two in the RRHL & two in the TCHA.
Fargo Hockey Club
The Fargo Hockey Club is based in Fargo, ND. Fargo is a city of 9,600 and is the county seat of Cass County. It is the most populous city in the state of North Dakota and is located on the western bank of the Red River of the North, directly across the river from Moorhead, MN. Fargo is the cultural center of the region and is home to the North Dakota Agricultural College (which will eventually become North Dakota State University). The team decided to wear green sweaters with thin gold stripes on the sleeves and a gold F on the front. They play their home games at the 500 seat Fargo City Rink downtown.

Moorhead Hockey Club
The Moorhead Hockey Club is based in Moorhead, MN. Moorhead is a city of about 3,700 and is the county seat of Clay County. The city was established when the Northern Pacific Railroad came to town and is a hub of agriculture & education, home to Concordia College & the Moorhead Normal School (which will go on to become Minnesota State University Moorhead). The city's growth is tied to its location on the eastern bank of the Red River of the North, directly across the river from Fargo, ND. The team wears blue and white striped sweaters and socks and they play their home games at the 500 seat Moorhead Community Rink.

Moving southwards we head to the Twin Cities Hockey League for the other expansion clubs.
Anoka Hockey Club
The Anoka Hockey Club is based in Anoka, MN. Anoka is a city of about 3,700 and is the county seat of Anoka County. Anoka is a historic city dating all the way back to 1844 making it one of the oldest communities in the state. It is located at the confluence of the Rum & Mississippi Rivers, making it a hub for milling and commerce. The town also has a strong claim to having provided the first volunteers for the Union Army at the start of the Civil War. The team decided on navy sweaters with white collars & cuffs. A big A for Anoka is also sewn on the front in white. They will play their home games on a frozen piece of the Rum River.

Lake Shore Hockey Club
The Lake Shore Hockey Club is based in the Calhoun-Isles neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN. Calhoun-Isles is a residential area in Western Minneapolis centered around many of the city's famous lakes such as Cedar Lake, Lake Calhoun & Lake of the Isles. The area is known as one of the more affluent areas of Minneapolis, with residents needing to be able to afford the expensive homes on the lakes. The team wears blue sweaters with a yellow LS monogram sewn on the front and they will play their home games out on a frozen Lake Calhoun, living up to the “Lake Shore” name.

There were only two changes to our other teams and they happened to also be in the RRHL & TCHA.
Crookston Hockey Club
The Crookston Hockey Club dropped their solid white sweaters with their logo on the front in favor of new white sweaters with scarlet collars, cuffs, and hems. Their logo is also made larger and their solid white socks are now scarlet and white striped.

Stillwater Hockey Club

I really like the blue and gold combo for Lake Shore! I'm excited to see how they utilize that scheme in the future.

It's amazing how quickly this league is growing already! Loving it, it gives you plenty of teams to follow! I know I'm at least rooting for White Bear Lake and Grand Rapids (they might not be the Loose Moose, but I still like them from the original MAHL!).
I want to add that I greatly appreciate you including win loss records in your standings! I'm sure that adds a lot of work to the project, but it really does add to the overall quality of it all!
Keep up the great work!

I'm glad you like their colors, it really is one of the best color schemes out there (shoutout Sweden). Fun fact, the Lake Shore Hockey Club is one of the real life teams that I adopted for this project and you can learn a little about the real life team here if you're interested!

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you like the league so far and I always love to hear what teams people cheer for or against!
