With a big win over the Loons, the 48ers are in charge of their own destiny. We are in the playoffs for the second time in franchise history, and are in contention for our first ever American Conference title. To get there, we just need to beat the rival Ghosts at home. So we'll be giving away gold T-shirts as we look to turn Manpower Arena gold as we close out the regular season. And since we're trying to turn the arena gold, we'll also be in gold. It's time for playoff hockey! In the past, the Edmonton Wildcats have spent this time of year snorting cocaine while riding a motorcycle out of a helicopter, but this year, we're the first overall seed! That of course means the road to the Alt Cup will run through the Hard Hat here in Edmonton, and the first team to join us here is a familiar opponent. We just played (and beat) Ottawa two weeks ago, but everything changes once the playoffs start. One thing we hope doesn't change is the play of star C Jack Eichel, who racked up points this year, with 22 goals and a whopping 63 assists on the regular season. #WhatTeam #ClawsUp

The Wildcats picked up their first-ever playoff win in dominant fashion over the Ottawa Guardians. As a reward, we get to host the red-hot Winnipeg Arrows, who are coming off an even more impressive win of their own against Calgary. It'll be a tough battle as we look to make the Alt Cup Finals, but we think we're up to the task. This week, we're spotlighting our second-best player this season, D John Carlson.
