Yet again, Atlético couldn't get it done, although at least we kept it close this time. It looks like it might be another tough match up this week, as we head up to Amsterdam, where the Lions just picked up a dominant win over FC Tokyo Sakura. It'll be a tough road if we want to make anything out of this season, so we'd better start now. Earning the feature this week is G Mark Flekken, who as usual was about the only man keeping the game close, making 3 big saves and winning 3 high claims.

Following the win over Joburg City 94, we remain at home to welcome FC Tokyo Sakura to The Pyramid. We'll be in the main kit, and are featuring midfielder Omari Hutchinson. #TheGoldStandard

Hey, that's different. Atlético and Amsterdam played a tight game, but we came out with the win in this one. After a quick turnaround, we're coming back home to Camp Vell to host St. Mungo FC. It's also been a while since we've featured a player who scored a goal, but F Georginio Rutter did just that to get us past AKVV.

A tough loss against St. Mungo puts a real damper on Atlético's chances of making the playoffs. Up next is another struggling squad, CF Federal, so hopefully we can play just a little better this week and pull off the win. At the helm is M John McGinn, who had a solid game with 3 interceptions and 3 clearances.

A win over Tokyo keeps us moving forward, and now we welcome 1. VfV 1158 Munich to EFG Hermes Stadium. We're looking to keep our standings in the table, and The Pyramid will be packed for the Monks visit. We'll be in the home kits and are featuring defensemen Chris Richards. #TheGoldStandard

Following Game 20, here's where the table sits:
What does that mean? Well, it means that Sydney Harbour FC and Olympique de Bastille have joined Inter Istanbul in the playoffs. The Anchors and The Arcs are in because they cannot fall out of the top 8. The Old Club is in due to winning the GEO Cup.
Both Eye of the Sun FC and Amsterdam KVV can clinch playoff spots with a win OR losses by all the 7 win clubs (Club de Ragatas do Independencia, Joburg City 94, Atlético Barcelona, CF Federal, and St. Mungo FC). Since The Ibexes and Golden Lions play each other, The Falcons and The Lions need wins.

Going into game 21, Eye of the Sun is in the position to clinch a playoff spot. To do so, we simply need to beat the top team on the table, Sydney Harbour FC. So let's stay focused on winning this week. We'll be on the road in Australia and will be in the clash kits for this one, and will be featuring defenseman Chris Richards for the second straight week as he's been on a hot streak. #TheGoldStandard

For the second week in a row, Atlético couldn't quite pull out a win against a club near the bottom of the table. Fortunately, we have a third opportunity to right that wrong, as we travel to South Africa for a date with Joburg City 94, who are even with us on points. After a busy day for our defense, we're spotlighting our best defender, Murillo, who had 10 clearances and an interception last time out.

Following Week 21. Still only FC Tokyo Sakura eliminated with 5 weeks left, but we added to the teams that have clinched a playoff spot. Inter Istanbul is in with their GEO Cup victory, Sydney Harbour FC and Olympique de Bastille are still in. This week, following their win, Eye of the Sun FC has punched their ticket to the playoffs.
1. VfV 1158 Munich and Amsterdam KVV will need a win to clinch their spot in the next game week. Bukchon Hanok Stripes can also clinch their spot with a win AND Joburg City 94 and FC Alfa Roma loss.
