The 'hunas did a thing, with the highest single week score of the season in knocking off the Carbou. This week we head on the road to take on the rival Olympians. We'll be in the greens for this one, as we feature Toumani Camara! #TheBigKahunas

The Invaders fell behind early against Boston and could never quite catch up, taking our eighth loss of the season. Thanks to the Gladiators losing to Vancouver, we're still only two games back of a playoff spot. We have quite a bit we can do about it this week, as we welcome those very same Gladiators to the Querq. The road is tough from here on out, so we'll need our A-game every week. Leading the team into the gauntlet is G/F Austin Reaves, who dropped a clean 100 points on the Schooners, with 31 rebounds and 21 assists. #GoldStar

Well that was unfortunate. We took a loss against the Olympians, despite having a pretty good week. The road doesn't get easier though, as this week we head to Kansas City to take on the Marshals. We'll be in the green uniforms on the road, and will be featuring star guard Trae Young as we look to pull off the big win. #TheBigKahunas

Well that was unfortunate. We took a loss against the Marshals, despite having a pretty good week. The road doesn't get easier though, as this week we head back home to Honolulu to take on the league-leading Sentinels. We'll be in the yellow uniforms at home, and will be featuring star guard/forward Shaedon Sharpe as we look to pull off the big win. #TheBigKahunas

The Invaders picked up a big win over the Gladiators to move just one game out of a playoff spot. Unfortunately, we also got the news that Joel Embiid will not be able to return this season, putting a big damper on our hopes of a championship repeat. All we can do, though, is play the opponents we're scheduled with the players we have available. Next up is the Detroit Mustangs, who are having an ok year. Rookie guard Isaiah Collier has really stepped up lately, with 37 points and 33 assists against Philly. #GoldStar

The Invaders couldn't overcome a slew of injuries piling up, falling to the Mustangs in a disappointing loss. Fortunately, both teams sitting between us and a playoff spot also lost, keeping us right where we were last week. One of those teams, the Vancouver Caribou, happens to be our opponent this week, so we'll have a chance to make up some ground there. Amongst all the carnage, G/F Quentin Grimes has been incredible, leading the team with 75 points while adding 18 boards and 22 dimes. #GoldStar

A big win over the then top-seeded New York Sentinels locks us into the playoffs. With three games remaining, we have an outside shot at moving up in the standings, but we would need a lot of help. So we'll take care of our own, starting this week with a game on the road against the Charlotte Flyers in our green uniforms. We're going to feature guard Anfernee Simons for this one. #TheBigKahunas

With two weeks remaining, the top 3 teams are in the playoffs. We'll start with Honolulu. The Kahunas are at 15-5 and are unable to pass the top two teams, Kansas City and New York. They're also ahead of every team behind them. So Honolulu is locked into the 3 seed in the playoffs.
New York and Kansas City are both 18-2 and split the regular season matchups. As such, they have some important games. If one gets more wins than the other, they will get the top seed. New York will be at home against Detroit and Albuquerque to close out the season, two teams still fighting for a playoff spot (more on that later). Meanwhile, Kansas City closes at Vancouver and then at home against Boston, which, on paper, looks easier with Boston being one of the 4 teams eliminated from the playoffs.
That leaves 5 teams vying for the fourth and final spot in the playoffs. Albuquerque currently would be in, tied with Philadelphia but holding the points tiebreaker since they split the regular season. Los Angeles and Vancouver are both 1 game back on those two. Los Angeles holds the edge on Vancouver thanks to sweeping the season series, but that would be moot if it's a three-or-more way tie for the final spot. Detroit is not mathematically eliminated yet, but need to win out, both Albuquerque and Vancouver to both lose out, and Los Angeles and Vancouver to each take at least one loss.
I'm not gonna outline all the scenarios, because there's a lot, but Albuquerque has the advantage, needing to simply win out and hold onto the 1200+ point lead they hold on Philadelphia if they win out. However, I will list the matchups including those 5 teams:
Week 21: Albuquerque @ Los Angeles, Charlotte @ Philadelphia, Detroit @ New York, Kansas City @ Vancouver
Week 22: Albuquerque @ New York, Los Angeles @ Philadelphia, Vancouver @ Detroit

Following a surprisingly tough win last week over Charlotte, Honolulu is definitively locked into the 3 seed in the AltBA playoffs. We have 2 weeks left, and will face the 2 seed in the first round, so we'll be keeping an eye on the Marshals and Sentinels while we look to get healthy and build momentum for the playoffs. That starts this week as we head on the road to the Twin Cities to take on LeBron James and the Minnesota Giants. We'll be in the green uniforms for this one, as we highlight breakout guard Dyson Daniels. #TheBigKahunas

After a huge win over the Vancouver Caribou, the Albuquerque Invaders have somehow clawed themselves back into the playoff picture. Currently sitting in the fourth spot, all we have to do to make the postseason is win our remaining two games. Unfortunately, we have New York on the docket next week, and this week, we visit LA, where we'll match up against a red-hot Olympians team gunning for their own late run at the playoffs. For this all-important game, we're returning the spotlight to G/F Devin Vassell, who's gotten hot at the right time, with an 84-point, 22-rebound performance against Vancouver. #GoldStar
