As expected, the Marshals proved too much to handle for a continually-hobbled Invaders squad, as we fall to 2-4 on the season. This week, we get another perennial rival in the Los Angeles Olympians, who have roared back from a 1-3 start to the season and now sit one spot above us in the standings. As we continue to work through the beginning of the season, we'll highlight G Malik Monk, who provided just about the only offensive spark we could muster against KC. Monk went for 89 points, 19 rebounds, and 27 assists in the losing effort. #GoldStar

And following a big win over LeBron James and the Minnesota Giants, we head to the Land of Enchantment to take on LBJ's original team, the Albuquerque Invaders. The Kahunas are sitting at 6-1 and in early position for a playoff spot. But we need to keep winning to maintain that. With the Invaders in their white uniforms for this one, we'll bring the pineapple set along. Our featured player is forward Keegan Murray! #TheBigKahunas

Now that's what I'm talking about. Something clicked for the Invaders against LA, as we cruised to a dominant win over the battered Olympians. We still have a long way to go if we want to crack the small playoff field, but we're only getting healthier as we stay at home to welcome the Pineapple Bois to the Querq. The 'Hunas are out to a really strong start, and are one of those postseason teams we need to catch up to, so this will be a big one. We're sticking with the home whites for a second game in a row, since our three wins have come in our three games in white. Featured this week is G Ayo Dosunmu, who racked up 68 points, 27 assists, 17 rebounds, and 6 steals. #GoldStar

The Invaders couldn't capitalize on the momentum coming into this game, as we took the L against the Kahunas. We've gotta head out on the road for this next one, as we've got a date in Dertoit. The Mustangs are coming off just their second win of the season, so this will be a bit of an easier matchup. We can't rest on our laurels, though, since we'll need a lot of help making up the distance between us and the top four. Rocking the turquoise jerseys on the graphic is C Goga Bitadze, who has been a surprise success this year. Against Honolulu, the Georgian (that's the country, not the US state) scored 20 points, hauled in 25 rebounds, and blocked 4 Kahuna shots. #GoldStar

With a big win over The Querq, the Kahunas move to 7-1 on the season, and in a three way tie for second place in the league. One of those teams we're tied with is the Philadelphia Gladiators, and they're heading out to Honolulu for this one. It's a beautiful, sunny 80 degrees in Hawaii for this one, so we've got the roof open and letting everyone enjoy the breeze off the ocean and beach. We're going to be in the pineapple uniforms again this week, and our featured player is guard Anfernee Simons, who had his best game as a Kahuna, dropping 50 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing out 12 assists, and grabbing 4 steals against the Invaders. #TheBigKahunas

It's hard to say whether the Invaders have really hit their stride yet, but we're continuing to heal up our star players and more importantly, have won another game. Coming off our win in Detroit, we return home, where we'll be welcoming the Boston Schooners to town. Boston, like us, has had a decent year but has struggled with injuries so far. Nonetheless, if we want to catch up to any of the four teams currently in the playoffs, we'll need to make sure we keep winning games against the teams that aren't. We're bringing the turquoise jerseys along for a second straight game, and spotlighting rookie F/C Alex Sarr. The Frenchman posted 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists in a strong showing against the Mustangs. #GoldStar

Following a tough loss to the Gladiators, we now head out on the road to New York City, home of YOUR New York Emperors. And, you know, our opponents this week, the New York Sentinels. We'll be in the standard road greens for this one, and our featured player is "Big" Bobby Portis. I don't know why I started adding the "Big" part when I say his name, but I have. #TheBigKahunas #BigBobby

Okay, now I think it's safe to say the Invaders are back. We beat the Schooners handily, we scored the highest total in the week, and our featured player this week is, for the first time this season, C Joel Embiid. The big man was finally healthy enough to put together a full game's worth of basketball, and contributed 68 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals. Next up, we've gotta break out our passports as we head up north to visit Vancouver. Both of us sit at 5-5, so with the halfway mark of the season approaching, this game will be a big factor in determining who remains in the playoff race and who falls behind. #GoldStar

With our second straight loss, there are rumblings out there that the Honolulu Kahunas are faltering. We're looking to debunk that theory as we head back home to host the Charlotte Flyers. We didn't have a bad game against the Sentinels, but we were still outclassed. Playing a pretty good game for us in the loss was center Deandre Ayton. #TheBigKahunas

The Invaders posted another best-in-the-league performance to take down the Caribou and establish themselves as the best team outside of the top 4 thus far. We'll see if we can keep this up against a top 4 team in the Kansas City Marshals, who just finished off a blowout of their own against the Schooners. For such a big game, who else could we turn to but G/F Josh Giddey, who scored 34 to go along with 28 rebounds and 16 assists against Vancouver. #GoldStar
