Re: The AltFL Season 2024

Well, that was disappointing.    After the unsuccessful hunt against the advanced weaponry of the Nightriders, the Sabercats looked more like prey rather than predators.  Perhaps next week, we'll have better luck (and a QB that doesn't throw footballs right after seemingly rubbing his hands with a huge slab of mayonnaise...).   We'll be on the prowl for a spark to our season, the Buffalo Bolts will do just fine!

Since we're on the road (and Buffalo hasn't announced what they'll be wearing), the Sabercats will break out the white away uniforms for this one!   Nice thing about being on the road, we won't have annoying celebrities around to mispronounce our team name (famed singer Kitty Purry called us the Kittycats and other singer Gentleman Googoo thought we were called the Sabertooths.   At least they did better than actor Dickolas Rage, who apparently thought we were called the Rams and/or the Chargers.  Like wth?!   Go back to screaming about invisible bees again!)

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

If anyone is interested in Tony Pollard I'm willing to trade him for a wide receiver.

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

The Destroyers hit the road for Week 3, but we are still searching for our first win of the season after a tough loss at home to Seattle in Week 2. Now 0-2, we head to the Arizona desert to take on the Scorpions, also winless at 0-2. We’ll be sporting our classic navy helmet with white away jerseys and white pants under the Arizona sun as we aim to turn our season around. Our featured player this week is defensive back Jason Pinnock, who had a standout performance against Seattle, tallying two sacks and nine total tackles and will be pivotal in stopping Arizona. #KingsintheWest

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

After a golden horseshoe win in week 1, we finished week 2 in the top 5 of scoring the league as we knocked off the Grizzlies at home. We're going to stay at home for this week as we look to keep winning, welcoming the Cyclones to the Polo Grounds for our very popular Throwback Night, where we have reduced costs for most concessions throughout the stadium (not beer, that went poorly the one time we did that). We'll be in the new home yellows for this one, as we've got the yellow helmet, yellow jersey and black pants for this one. We're featuring our top wide receiver from last week, as DK Metcalf had 129 yards receiving and pulled in a touchdown from QB Jalen Hurts. #GothamKnights #ThrowbackNight

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

The Steelheads continued to roll through week 2, picking up a big divisional win over the Destroyers, becoming the only team in the West at 2-0. We'll look to keep that momentum up this week against the struggling San Antonio Phantoms. This week's graphic features maybe the most obvious choice of player in history, as with backup QB Malik Willis under center (and unable to throw the ball at points because it was puked on by the center) and fellow RB Rachaad White limited due to an injury, RB Alvin Kamara was tasked with being the entire Seattle offense - and boy did he deliver. Kamara racked up 115 yards and three touchdowns on the ground - oh, and he had a 57-yard receiving touchdown, too, because 18 points simply wasn't enough, I guess. #TipTheScales

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

It's time to head up North to take on the Minnesota Voyageurs. After a tough, high-scoring loss to the Dallas Bandits last week, the Galactics hope to bounce back against Voyageurs. RB James Cook decided to match his teammate Saquon Barkley last week, having a 3-TD performance just a week after Barkley did it. He models the white uniforms we are taking into the game against the Voyageurs. #startthecountdown #GoGalactics #ORLvsMIN2024

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

The Explorers laid an egg last week, and we pounced on that opportunity to take down the defending Central champions and improve to 1-1. Our tough beginning continues, as we have to travel to the Big Apple to play the Emperors. They're a much better team than us, but that won't stop us from at least trying to play spoiler. We're staying in the same unis from last week, though with a different featured player. WR Zay Flowers has stepped up to be the new #1, with 7 receptions for 91 yards and a score. #BlownAway #WAFC

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

With three weeks down, and three wins, YOUR New York Emperors are tied atop the AltFL East. We'll face our first divisional opponent this week though, as we head to Charlotte to take on the new look Reapers. We'll be in the road white jersey with the yellow pants and yellow helmet, and are featuring running back Jonathan Taylor, who has really stepped up with the injury to Christian McCaffrey. #GothamKnights

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

It was a great week for the Galactics last week, scoring the most points overall, giving us a much-needed rebound win over the Voyageurs. Heading into week 4, the Galctics are returning home to welcome the Explorers to town. Cam Bynum had a big game last week and is featured this week, modeling the home unis with white helmets this week.

Re: The AltFL Season 2024

The Destroyers return home for Week 4, still seeking that elusive first win after a tough loss to the Scorpions dropped us to 0-3. It doesn't get any easier, as we now welcome our blue and grey brethren, the 3-0 Buffalo Bolts, to San Diego. We'll be back in our standard navy helmet and navy jersey, but we're switching things up with grey pants this week. Our featured player is wide receiver Chris Olave, who had a strong showing in last week's loss, racking up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.  #KingsintheWest
