Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

With another loss, Atlético are continuing to bounce around the three or four seed, which isn't bad, but we've been on a bit of a skid lately. Last time we played a team that was near the bottom of the table, though, we beat them pretty badly, and we'll hope to do the same last week as we take on Olympique, who sit at #12. With some injuries in some key places, we'll have a bit of a tougher time out there, but we do still have D Tosin Adarabioyo, who finished last week with 7 clearances and 3 tackles won in a strong defensive performance (despite the loss).

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

We finally did it. After an abysmal start to the year, the Golden Lions of Joburg have taken down Independencia and have firmly claimed the top spot in the table. We can't celebrate for long, as the season is not over yet and we have to journey north to take on our greatest foe in Eye of the Sun for the Golden Derby. They're just 2 games out from our top spot, so it will not be an easy game for either side as we try to sweep them this year. D Sergio Reguilon has stepped up due to injuries in our defensive line, having his best game since being promoted to the starting job. Reguilon produced a key pass and an assist, as well as 2 tackles won and 2 interceptions on the defensive side. #StayGold

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

After we once again beat Joburg (we scored fewer points, but we're claiming a win), we head from Africa to Asia, as we go to Tokyo to face FC Tokyo Sakura. We're holding steady in a playoff spot, but could really use a break in this two game losing streak. This week we're going to wear the main kits, and we're featuring Argentinian defenseman, Cristian Romero! #TheGoldStandard

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

A strong win in Paris puts Atlético back in the win column, and we'll look to start up a winning streak as we face off against the injury-riddled London Public FC. We're bringing the periwinkle look across the English Channel, and showing them off is a face we weirdly haven't seen in a while, F Son Heung-Min. It's not that Son has been underperforming, per se, he just hasn't really been the center of attention, but that changed last week, as he scored a goal and assisted on two more to lead us against Olympique.

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

For the third time this year, we have beaten Eye of the Sun (they're just upset we came from behind to win when they wanted to tie) and increased our lead at the top of the table. We hit the road north across the Mediterranean in a relatively weird week to take on Alfa Roma. They're near the bottom of the table, so they're hoping that they can take 3 points away from us, so we'll need to fight for every inch. Featured for this week is lightning-quick F Chie Ogbene, who scored the game-winning goal last week to put us over the top in the Golden Derby. #StayGold

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

Hey, we're coming off a win prior to the international break, and so we're going to come back to it and head to Rome to take on FC Alfa Roma. We're going to head into Italy and look to knock out another big win in the final stretches of the season. We'll be in the clash kits for this one, and we're featuring Willian in this one. #TheGoldStandard

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

After a bit of a strange weekend two weeks ago and a week without AltLiga action last weekend, we head on up to Scotland for the second time this season to take on St. Mungo. The Glaswegian side are last in the table by far, but we don't want to let them steal a win at such a crucial time in the schedule, so we'll be sure to bring our A game. We're also in our clash kits once again, and featured for the first time this season is F Rodrigo Muniz, who provided all of the offense against London last week, scoring the only two goals of the match.

Re: AltLiga Season 2023-24

We needed that international break after a fairly embarrassing lost at the hands of Alfa Roma. It's the last final few matches of the season, and we'll need to remain in top form to stay at the top. We travel across the Mediterranean Sea to take on Istanbul, who are on the outside looking on and need a win to stay alive on the season. Unlike the last match we played, we're going to make this a competitive match. Leading the way back into the remaining weeks is M James Ward-Prowse, who made the most of the little time he played last week, getting a key pass, a clearance, and an accurate cross. We'll be in the clash kits for just the 4th time this year for an intercontinental clash. #StayGold
