Let's go! The Destroyers went out to Minnesota and got their 4th consecutive win to go up to 7-5 on the year, and due to the Raptors' loss (thanks again, Cyclones), San Diego now finds themselves alone at the top of the West. We now head home for our last home game of the regular season to take on the aforementioned Raptors in a duel that will most likely crown the division winner. We will need everybody, including our featured player of the week, DB Budda Baker, who got nine total tackles last week in the win, to perform well and come out on top. The Destroyers will wear navy from head to toe to take on the Raptors. #SDvsUTA #BattleReady

A Tough loss last week to the Copperheads leaves us a game behind the Dallas Bandits. Our last two games are going to be as tough as ever as we face off with the top two teams in the league this week and next. First up is a battle with the Emperors while we are short-handed due to a heavy set of bye weeks. The good news is this week is our annual Star Wars Night. This year, we are wearing the orange uniforms that match the rebel uniforms from the movies as we are facing off against the Empire after all. LB Azeez Al-Shaair has reemerged this season as a top LB for our team and we are glad to have him on the field this week to lead the Galactics defence. #GoGalactics #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff #ORLvsNY2023 #StarWarsNight2023

What's that? A competent offense? Guess it took us some Thanksgiving Day turkey to get an offense going, as we took a lead on Thursday and never looked back against the Raptors. New acquisition Raheem Mostert ran for 2 TD's, Zay Flowers got in for 2 of his own, and featured player DB Johnathan Owens returned a fumble from Utah QB Lamar Jackson to the house as well as combining for 12 total tackles. We're now back at 6-6 and just a game out of a playoff spot, but we'll need to win out and get some help from other teams to get in. To do our part, we'll have to win our final game on the road against Kansas City, who are also 6-6 and fighting for the playoffs. It will be a fierce divisional matchup fighting for either better draft position or one step closer to the playoffs. We'll wear the standard road combo of white/white/red/white for the final game away from home. #StormWatch

Would you look at that? The Steelheads have put together a winning streak. It's only two games, sure, and it might be ruining our draft stock, but you know what? Winning is fun. I like doing it. In fact, we're only two games back on the division, meaning we still have an outside shot to make the playoffs. With that in mind, we hit the road for the Animals-Named-After-The-Metallic-Color-Of-Their-Craniums Bowl against the Tennessee Copperheads (we're still working on the name). In that spirit, we're going all-steel for this one, which is a new look for us this year. Oh, and speaking of new looks, we made a trade last week! We said goodbye to longtime running back D'Andre Swift, but in return, we got Rhamondre Stevenson, who looked like a natural fit, scoring a touchdown in his first game with Seattle.

It's time for power ranks! Our big upwards mover was Tennessee. That'll happen when you score a boatload of points and get a win. On the flip side, Kentucky moved down the same number of spots. That'll happen when you don't score a boatload of points and take a loss. Here's the full breakdown!

Going into week 13, we needed a win or a Dallas loss to lock up home field advantage, and we got both, forcing the playoffs to come through the Polo Grounds. We'll close out the regular season on the road in Boston, where we'll be looking to come out of the game healthy and ready for the post season. We're keeping an eye on basically all the other games going to see who we'll be playing in the first round. We'll be in the standard road set for this one, with the gray helmets, white jerseys, and gray pants. Our featured player is the first rookie selection of the modern era of the Emperors, linebacker Kenneth Murray! #ImperiumSineFine

Well, we all kind of knew it already, but that loss to the Copperheads officially eliminated the Steelheads from playoff contention. With one more game left on the schedule, we'll look to end 2023 on a high note, which we'll do by either beating the rival Grizzles or losing and clinching a top-5 pick in the rookie draft. Featured this week is WR DeAndre Hopkins, who has been excellent since coming over in a trade with Birmingham and went for 75 yards and a touchdown last week.

Let's go; San Diego has done it again! We got our 5th consecutive win with a dominant performance against Utah. More importantly, though, is that the Destroyers have clinched the West Division title with this win. Before we can play our first playoff game of the modern era, we will close out the regular season by heading north to Los Angeles to take on our biggest rival, the Sabercats, in this year's edition of the SoCal Showdown. Our featured player for the week is free-agent pickup rookie linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu, who has stepped up big time with all the injuries to our linebacker group. Also, we will be wearing the grey alternate jerseys and pants along with the usual navy helmets this week against LA. #SDvsLA #SoCalShowdown #BattleReady #WestDivisionChamps

The good news for the Cyclones? We won our game against division rival Kansas City and are now one win away* from a playoff spot. The bad news? There's an asterisk there so we need a lot of things to go our way in order to sneak our way in. We can at least clinch a winning season with a win over our new opponent for rivalry week - the Minnesota Voyageurs, who are trying to clinch the top spot in the rookie draft. If both teams do their jobs then the Voyageurs will get the top rookie pick and the Cyclones will miss the playoffs on based on points for the second straight year. Helping us get to an offensively-capable state is acquisition RB Raheem Mostert from the Nightriders, who combined for 52 total yards and a TD last week against the Scarecrows. We'll wear the traditional home set of white/red/tan/red for potentially (but realistically) the final time this year. #StormWatch

We finish up the regular season, so here's the final Power Ranks!
