The Emeralds came out shooting strong, and despite missing star guard and top player from last week Donovan Mitchell for a third of the game, we comfortably took down the Spirits. But there's no time to rest in basketball, and we don't believe in load management. But we do believe in heading back home to The Dick in Seattle to host the Minnesota Giants. Much like everyone on the league, they have a lot of talent, so we'll have to bring the A-game and look to move to 2-0. We're playing at home and are breaking out the Stratus set for this one. Our featured player is Donovan Mitchell, who scored a bunch of points, assisted on a few plays, and grabbed a few boards. #ACutAboveTheRest

It wasn't the prettiest win, but against a tough opponent in Vancouver, the Invaders mounted a late comeback to pull off the opening day W. Now we head home, and we welcome to the desert the defending champion Sentinels. New York opened their season with a similarly tight win over Baltimore, so both teams will be looking to move to 2-0 on the year. Helping the Querq's cause will be LePaul George, who rattled off 82 points with double digits in rebounds, assists, and nearly steals as well. As tradition, we're in all white for the home opener.

The Emeralds jumped out to a big lead early, and held on for the win over the Giants to move to 2-0. Now we head to Kansas City to face the always tough Marshals. The Emeralds are a hot shooting team, and we look to keep that going. We're featuring Donovan Mitchell again this week, as he once again led the team in scoring. We're going with the standard road Evergreens for this one. #ACutAboveTheRest

Wow, the Invaders sure do like narrow comeback wins, huh? After a nail-biter in week 1, our nails are now fully gone, as we barely pulled out the win over the reigning champs to move to 2-0. Hopefully, we won't need to stress quite as much about the Charlotte Flyers, who are headed in the opposite direction with an 0-2 start. We're featuring Gordon Hayward this week because he led the comeback on Sunday and also led the team in scoring across the week. He gets to be the first to model the turquoise jerseys this season.

With a tough fought win, the Emeralds move to 3-0 on the young season and have as many wins on the season as the team across the street, the Steelheads. As for the action on the court, we're coming off big road wins over Minnesota and Kansas City, we head back to Seattle where we will host the New Orleans Revelers. Hopefully the cold, clouds and rain won't affect their Partying too much, and hey, we're playing the game indoors. The Revs will see us in the standard home Stratus set in this one, and we highlight top player from last week, guard Trae Young! #ACutAboveTheRest

Finally, a win that didn't require a last-second comeback! With a strong game against Charlotte, the Invaders join the Emeralds as one of the two undefeated teams remaining in the AltBA. That record will immediately be put to the test as we face off against the Kansas City Marshals for the fourth time in our last nine games. We'll need to be at the top of our game to beat the reigning West champions, but we've already beaten the AltBA champs this season, so we can certainly tango with the runners-up. Leading the charge is G/F Jaylen Brown, who dropped 94 points, and achieved double digits in rebounds, assists, and turnovers last week.

After a week where a bunch of guys missed time due to injuries and we suffered a tough loss to the Revelers, we head out east to play the Schooners. Boston has been playing really good basketball, so we hope that the team is healthier and playing at top levels so we can get back into the win column. We're on the road, and wearing the Evergreen set for this one. We are featuring last week's top scorer, guard D'Angelo Russell. #ACutAboveTheRest

The Invaders took down an extremely beat-up Marshals team to move to 4-0 on the year, and, with the Emeralds loss, become the last undefeated team on the season in the AltBA. We have another tough matchup coming up this week, though, as we welcome the Minnesota Giants to the Saucer. While their record sits at just 2-2, they've finished as the highest-scoring team in half of the four weeks so far, including last week, where they barely squeaked out a win over Boston. Of course, Albuquerque is no stranger to close games, so it should be a fun matchup to watch on Sunday. G/F Josh Giddey scored 54 points and added 22 rebounds last week in order to put his face (and his beautiful, beautiful hair) in front of your eyes.

We gave the comeback everything we could, but fell just short against the Schooners. We're getting healthier again, so we're hoping that will lead to a few more points a week. We're going to be at home in this one, as we welcome the Flyers to The Dick here in Seattle. We'll be in the standard home set, the Stratus set. Our top player last week, and featured player this week, is Trae Young. #ACutAboveTheRest

We have gotten too big for our britches, and They have punished us for our hubris. Our reign of terror as the only undefeated team in the AltBA lasted all of one game, as we fell behind early to the Giants and couldn't catch up. Now at 4-1, we face off against the only other 4-1 team in the league, as we hit the road and head to Baltimore. Guard Derrick White will focus on getting the Invaders back on track after posting 44 points and 20 assists in the losing effort, while the rest of us will focus on getting used to his newly-shaven head.
