Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Thanks to some first-rate shenanigans by DB Kenny Moore (which included 2 pick-sixes off of Jordan Love), the Cyclones took down the Steelheads and rose to 5-4, getting over .500 for the first time all year. We're still in the hunt for a playoff spot, and we'll see if we can rise above our setbacks this week to get another win against the San Diego Destroyers at home. The Destroyers are in a similar spot to us, who need a win to gain possession of the West Division lead. The offensive struggles were real last week, though thankfully K Chase McLaughlin realized that this week was Kicker Week™, and hit 3/3 on field goals (from 35, 49, and 55 yards out) and 4/4 on extra points to make him this week's featured player. The regular home uniforms of white/red/tan/red will be brought out once again for another entertaining game (depending on your definition). #StormWatch

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Thanks to some [expletive] shenanigans by Kenny Moore (which included 2 pick-sixes off of QB Jordan Love), the Steelheads lost to the Cyclones and fell to 3-6, dropping 3 games under .500 for the first time all year. We're still in the hunt for a playoff spot (wait really? how is that possible?), and we'll see if we can rise above our setbacks this week to get back on track against the Dallas Bandits on the road. The Bandits are in a similar spot to us, as we both sit just one game back of our division leaders (huh? that can't be right). The offensive struggles were real last week, though thankfully safety Grant Delpit realized that he could be pretty effective at stopping Chicago's offense, finishing with 8 solo tackles and a half a sack to make him this week's featured player. The regular road uniforms of steel/white/steel/teal will be brought out once again for another entertaining game (okay I don't care what definition you use that's just a complete lie).

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

And with that, the AltFL 2023 Knockout season has come to an end. And because we just couldn't end like any normal week, this week came down to a tiebreaker. The magic number was 154, and thanks to the New York Emperors and the shenanigans of Joey Bosa, Dire has won this year's knockout. Congratulations!

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

This is a big week for Kentucky. Win, and we gain control of the Central Division. Lose, and it's almost guaranteed that St. Louis wins the division. This week we feature Maxx Crosby (SUPER MAXX), who has been performing incredibly well so far this season

Also, here's last weeks, since I didn't get it posted in time for our win over Minnesota

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

LAST WEEK: The Galactics are headed North to take on the Buffalo Bolts. TE Dalton Schultz had a slow start to the season, but he has started to get comfortable in the Galactics' offence and he is featured in this week's graphic. Jersey wise we are going with white above the waist and then orange pants and purple socks below. #GoGalactics #ORLvsBUF2023 #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff

THIS WEEK:
With another big win over the Bolts, the Galactics are now 7-2 and sit atop the South Division. This week we are taking on the 4-5 Portland Grizzlies. It's a long trip out to the Pacific North West, but the Galactics are ready to roll, especially with the man, the myth, the legend, K Younghoe KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's right it's kicker week baby. Koo is modelling a classic road set with a purple helmet, pants, and socks with our white uniforms. #GoGalactics #ORLvsPOR2023 #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Power Ranks. I'm too lazy to type up things. Know that New York's still on top, Minnesota's still at the bottom, and some teams in between moved.

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

The Steelheads failed to pull off the upset in Dallas, and fall to 3-7, having dropped 6 of their last 7. We return home to Seattle, where we welcome the Minnesota Voyageurs, who are limping in with a league-worst 1-9 record. The way I see it, we either get a win in front of our home fans, or we lose and get that much closer to the top pick in the draft next year. It's a win-win! Or I guess a win-lose. So it's just like any other game. Specifically for this one, we're featuring WR Tyler Boyd, who surprisingly was QB Jordan Love's favorite target against the Bandits, as the two connected for 117 yards.

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Let's go! The Destroyers did it again! We claimed our second consecutive win by demolishing (I feel like there's a better word that would fit there, but oh well) the Cyclones in Chicago, and now we're back to .500 on the year. Now we look to go back over .500 for the second time this season as we prepare to host those spooky bois from Kansas City. It should be an intense game as both the Destroyers and Scarecrows are coming in with a record of 5-5 on the season. The Destroyers are ready to roll on KF11 Field at Oceanside Stadium with our featured player, wide receiver Chris Olave, who caught a touchdown pass and racked up 94 yards receiving in last week's win, leading the charge. Oh, and let's not forget our uniform combo for this week - navy helmets and jerseys, along with the grey pants.  #BattleReady #SDvsKC

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Well that was a pretty entertaining game if you were a Destroyers fan. The Cyclones were annihilated (I feel like there's a better word that would fit there, but oh well) by San Diego in Chicago are we're right back to .500 on the year. We have 4 games left to salvage a playoff berth, and our challenge will only get harder as we host only the best team in the league in the New York Emperors. Will our offense be able to keep up with them? We hope so, but only time will tell. S Richie Grant led the secondary that was torched (also probably need to work on a better word for that) by San Diego's Brock Purdy, finishing second on the team with 9 total tackles on the day. We'll remain in the same uniforms as last week of white/red/tan/red in hopes of playing David to the Goliath coming into town. #StormWatch
