Down go the Navigators! Johns Island put together a week to remember in the Holy War, putting up the highest score of any team in college football, winning by nearly triple digits, and clinching bowl eligibility for the second year in a row. We still have a shot at winning the Southern V again, but we'll need some help to do it. It'll start this week against our old rivals in Lone Star, who also have an outside shot at a conference title in their first year back. We'll look to WR Noah Smith, who scored both a receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown in his debut as an Angels starter. We're also breaking out our throwback unis for our final home game (at least in the regular season!) of the year. #HeardOnHigh #SouthernVFootball #TheMatterIsSimplyOfGreaterImportance

Welp, with that loss to Hershey, St. Laurent is officially eliminated from bowl contention—quite a fall from winning the conference last year. The only thing left to fight for is our recruiting position, so we’ll try and win games to get better recruits next year. It starts this week as we head out on the road to take on the team we narrowly beat to the conference title last year in Penn Commonwealth. The Big Blue are fighting for the conference title again, so it’s our chance to make them narrowly miss again. Leading the Patriotes onto the field in our standard away kits of Navy-White-White-Navy will be star running back LaDamian Webb, whose four rushing TDs last week were more than enough to earn him a second nod this season. #GoPatsGo

After 4 straight losses and looking like we would not make a bowl game for the second straight year, the Stegos have rattled off 4 straight wins and (thanks to some helpful losses from Hawaii State) are still in the hunt for the Super West title. We'll have a chance to become bowl-eligible this week, and we can do it in no better week than Homecoming. We welcome Playa to the Kidd for Homecoming Week, and will be taking them on in the inaugural 1981 Southern Colorado Stegos uniforms. Freshman QB Jaylen Raynor impressed last week in his first start as a Stego, throwing for 306 yards and 2 touchdowns while gaining 52 extra yards on the ground. He'll continue to get the start as we need a win to stay alive in the Super West and to be bowl-eligible. #BringTheBoom

Yea, the season is still going. We play Minny A&M. We wear classic roads. Go, Anthony Simpson. #GoRebels #TheRIELDeal

With a huge win over Nouvelle France in the Gulf Battle, the Jellyfish move to 6-3 in a three way tie for the Southern V conference with Nouvelle France and Johns Island. Fortunately for us, we control our destiny as we have the tiebreaker on both of them, and they play each other. We're on the road to close out the season as we head to Charlotte to take on Queen City State, so we'll be in the sapphire helmets, white jersey, and mint pants. We've been relying on our running game, so I don't see why we wouldn't keep doing that. We're highlighting running back Jacory Merritt for this one, as we hope to sting the Stingers. (get it, because jellyfish sting people?) #UnderTheSea #StingTheStingers
And, with a little bit of help from Playa, the Hawks clinch the Super West championship. We know we get to go to the Avocado Bowl and await who our opponents will be. In the meantime, we'll head over to the mainland to take on our rivals on their (subpar) beach, Playa del Rey. The Penguins are coming off a big win over Southern Colorado (as stated previously), and need a win to get to 5 and be bowl eligible, so we expect a tough matchup. We're going to be in the all white look, white helmets, white jerseys, and white pants. Our featured player this week is running back Carson Steele, who has really been running strong of late, hitting 89 yards and a touchdown in his complimentary role to Audric Estime. #FlyingHI #PenguinsCantFly

The St. Laurent Patriotes suffered another defeat last week against Penn Commonwealth, bringing our record to 2-7 this season. Unfortunately, we were outplayed and feel heartbroken as we head home for our last game of the season against St. Brendan's. Like last year, we'll be sporting our Quebec Pride uniforms as we face the Navigators. Quarterback Cameron Ward will lead the team in this game as we close out a disappointing season. #GoPatsGo

We couldn't keep winning and finally fell after 4 straight weeks of winning, suffering our first major defeat in in our last game in front of our home crowd this year against Playa. As a result of us losing and Hawaii State winning, we can no longer win the Super West. However, there is still one last chance for us to get bowl eligible, and it's against our biggest rival in Yellowstone. We'll have to take on the Moose on the road, so it will be no easy task for us. Sophomore RB Sieh Bangura has started nearly every game this year for the Stegos, though new transfers in have lessened his role compared to last year. His stat line of 64 total yards and a touchdown may not seem much, but were crucial in keeping the game close when it was, and should provide a great supporting role in this critical week. In what could be the final game of the season, we'll be wearing the standard road set. #BringTheBoom

The Johns Island Angels put together another convincing performance to beat Lone Star, keeping our hopes for the Southern V championship alive. Unfortunately, with Florida Panhandle's win over Nouvelle France, we no longer control our own destiny. We'll need to beat the Musketeers, and we need a Jellyfish loss, so we'll also be rooting for... Queen City State??? Okay, maybe coming in second wouldn't be so bad after all. Either way, we'll need to pick up a win to make sure we secure a playoff spot. The man of the hour last week was freshman RB Makhi Hughes, as while he somehow didn't make it into the end zone, he did amass 153 yards on the ground against the Panthers. #HeardOnHigh

Thank you everyone for a great college football season! Time for bowl season!
We have some intriguing matchups for the first round of the playoffs...including a bitter Heartland Rivalry, a second straight matchup between Southern V rivals and a handful of new schools are involved.
I look forward to the teams' looks for the matchups. Feel free to reach out if you want a bowl patch for your uniforms.

What an awesome end to MIU's first season in the league, as we survived a difficult match against Ohio A & M. In doing so, the Bucks has won the Heartland Athletic Conference in dramatic fashion after being 2 games behind Minnesota Ag & Mech as late in the year as after Week 7 (of 10).
It hasn't been easy at all, but we've made it to Bowl Season in the playoffs. While we've scored the 2nd least amount of total points out of all the playoff teams, we do currently have the 2nd longest winning streak, (only trailing the Commonwealth in that regard) and the confidence of having a perfect 3-0 record against our fellow tournament foes.
We'll need to stay hot as we face a dreaded conference foe for our first matchup of the post season. We did defeat Minnesota Ag & Mech back in Week 8, but the fact remains that they outscored us by over 200 points during the season (in fact, they were the league leaders in points scored nationwide!!!), so this won't be easy! But as we wear our standard home jerseys of yellow helmet, green shirts, and yellow pants, we'll be ready to bring the fight to the Threshers (hopefully with our QB able bodied, of course Jayden Daniels would have suffered concussion like symptoms yesterday)!
