Another week, another L. The Steelheads have slipped from a 2-1 record all the way down to 2-4, putting our season very much in jeopardy. On the bright side, this past week was a much better performance than the week prior, as we just couldn't outduel a tough Stallions team. Now, we face another tough test, this time from our division rivals, as we visit sunny San Diego. With the Destroyers wearing their gray alternates, we've brought our regular home set on the road to go color-on-color for what should be a marquee matchup. Our defense was big last week, led by LB Alex Singleton, who amassed a whopping 10 solo tackles against Kentucky.

The Cyclones will forever thank Micah Parsons for winning us the game last week, getting a sack on the second-to-last play of the week to seal the game against Los Angeles. With that win, that puts us both back at .500 and a game back of the Explorers for first place in the Central. And who's our opponent this week? St. Louis. The perennially mediocre Explorers lead the division once again, and its our job to spoil their postseason hopes. DB Amani Hooker was a big player on the defense last week, notching 8 total tackles to halt the Sabrecats offense. We stay in the same uniforms as last week in the last game of this homestand. #StormWatch

The Galactics have a tough battle this week against the 4-2 Raptors. QB Desmond Ridder puts his unbeaten record on the line as the Galactics look to chase down Birmingham in the South Division. LB Micah McFadden has been really solid all season long and we are going to need another solid week out of the newcomer to keep the Galactics winning. Jersey-wise we are going with purple helmet and pants with white jersey and socks. #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff #ORLvsUTA2023 #GoGalactics

Power Rank Time!
A bunch of people moved up a spot, a few moved down some spots. But in the end, you still have New York on top, and Minnesota at the bottom.

A big win over Birmingham puts YOUR New York Emperors at 6-1 and atop the East Division and the AltFL. We saw some big games from a few players, especially the running backs filling in for the top guys. We're heading out on the road for our next one, as we head to the Twin Cities to face the Minnesota Voyageurs. I know we hyped up those running backs already, but our featured player this week is top wide receiver A.J. Brown! #ImperiumSineFine

Well, the Destroyers couldn't beat the Steelheads, although they performed better than last year. Unfortunately, this means that San Diego falls below .500 again. However, there's no time to dwell on the loss, as we must focus on returning to the winning track. The Destroyers will hit the road to Louisville for their next game against the Kentucky Stallions, who currently stand at 4-3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, our first-round rookie draft pick, caught his first touchdown pass in last week's game, so he's the player to watch this week. The Destroyers have opted to wear their all-navy kit against the Stallions for a colour vs colour match. #BattleReady #SDvsKEN

Yeah, that's more like it. The Steelheads put up their strongest performance of the season on Sunday, convincingly beating a solid Destroyers team. That proves that there is still room for our season to get back on track, but we don't have a lot of wiggle room in a crowded middle of the pack. Speaking of which, our opponents this week have the same 3-4 record as us, as we take on our second straight SoCal squad, but now in the splendid scenery of Seattle. Last week's effort was led by a breakout performance by safety Jabrill Peppers, whose 9 total tackles were joined by an early interception which jumpstarted the Steelheads attack.

I knew we shouldn't have talked smack last week. Unlike the past few years, the Cyclones couldn't take down the Explorers and set back their season, as our offense was stopped cold in their tracks and fell below .500 once again. We'll have a chance to get a win back on the road against the Carolina Reapers, who are enduring struggles of their own this year after narrowly beating us to a playoff spot last year. DB Kenny Moore will get the spotlight this week after a season-best game, recording 1.5 sacks and 10 total tackles last week. We'll wear the standard road set of white-white-red-white once again this week. #StormWatch

The Galactics are looking to string together a 3rd straight win as we welcome the Philadelphia Brawlers to Orlando. Camryn Bynum has been a great pickup for the team this season and he grabbed a couple of interceptions last week to help the Galactics bring in the win over the Utah Raptors. We are going to break out the original home look with purple tops and white pants. #GoGalactics #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff #ORLvsPHI2023
